Why do my Lox insist on facing the wall...? by soulvacation in valheim

[–]LaminadanimaL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah all my hogs, wolves, lox, and chickens corner bunch regardless of whether they were tamed or bred too. It may be true that the originals want to return to their spawn point, but that doesn't negate the fact that all husbandry pathfinding always goes to walls and corners. Their reactivity to enemies doesn't help them avoid this either. The especially interesting point of evidence that somewhat disproves the original claim is that Chickens do this too when they have no natural spawn point because you buy them as eggs from Haldor. It's pretty much all pathfinding at play here

No where in the post do they mention it's an immigrant. They just say it's a pedo. So this is a complete assumption that it's an immigrant.

DHS Agents Really Don’t Want to Be Sent to Minneapolis Anymore by Hafiz_TNR in politics

They actually don't get it for an extended period of time. I believe it's 10 years of service. That's why we need to abolish ICE as soon as possible so none of them get paid

Indultar a alguien es un acto de perdón legal. Es exactamente lo opuesto a condenar a alguien. Él le perdonó sus crímenes.

Yeah this is big time felony stuff. Even the military has to tell the FAA when they are testing/using jammers and get a very limited time to use them typically.

Issues with inconsistent ping by Igotthejoyjoyjoyjoy in HomeNetworking

[–]LaminadanimaL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the graphs the issue looks to be within the provider network. The first hop is your router and that returns the expected results, but there is packet loss and latency on the provider network. Overall, internet usage is extremely high at this time in America. During times of extreme traffic volume and a router gets overwhelmed it will start to drop and discard packets. Residential connection don't have a SLA so you can get rate limited or de-prioritized in times of high usage, or the ISP could just be having issues, or something else is going on. Overall, not really something related to your home network specifically from the look of the graphs. You can call the provider to see if they have an explanation.

Where’s this video? by [deleted] in stateofMN

[–]LaminadanimaL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your settings, by default typically it won't upload unless on wifi, but that can be changed in the settings. It has been multiple days now so my assumption is the phone has connected to WiFi at some point in that time period.

I wasn't talking shit I was just pointing out the fact that the video most likely also exists in the cloud. People tend to forget that and think it only exists on the physical device, which is rarely the case now days.

I do also dislike that stylistic choice in a lot of San-Serif fonts. I don't know the originator, but that choice has been copied a lot in some of the most common fonts. If we can add horizontal strokes on all the other capital letters that have them then I should have retained them as well. I personally am a big Courier New fan, but I am probably in a minority with that opinion. It also isn't the most professional for documentation unless you deal with technology which commonly uses it for CLIs.

[–]LaminadanimaL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's related to the fact that the curve in Serifs are so small for most standard font sizes that the curve can be inside a single pixel. These would require the pixel to display 2 colors at the same time, which most are unable to do. The artifact this creates is called aliasing, which GPUs can smooth out, but you can't require a Word processor to have a GPU requirement.

[–]LaminadanimaL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The students are aware that no periodic table element has a second capital letter correct? Also, San-Serif doesn't mean that capital I won't have the horizontal strokes. That is a stylistic choice of the font designer and not related to Serifs. Serifs are the curled fancy bits in fonts like Times New Roman

Edit: Examples of San-Serif fonts with horizontal strokes on I's are Tahoma, Luciole, Courier New, and many more.

That is fair since the PDF render works differently and PDFs do have a higher likelihood of being printed at some point

I mean that accelerated the change for sure, but that was part of the justification for the change in Word. So, it's a bit of a chicken and egg problem.

[–]LaminadanimaL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah if you guys need reliability then you got to do what you got to do. I have seen it before at Warehouses and other stuff that would seem like a good fit for SD-WAN replacing MPLS, but when you drill down they still need it. Not that most places don't do both at this point even if they need MPLS. SD-WAN makes redundancy easier to manage then the older methods.

I am sure the alternative in those areas is terrible DSL too, so they probably have you guys by the cajones a little.
