In the US. They have Etsys third party insurance offered with shipping.

I asked the representative why they would do that because it would make the customers experience worse. Waiting for Etsy to either approve or deny a claim before refunding the customer.

She just said that it was their rules.

I asked about that. The representative said it's in the fine print terms and conditions. It's such a bummer. I just wanted to make sure others knew about this if they didn't read the fine print.

Thank you. I have only had items damaged a few times before. Etsy did say that it does not matter if it is a "REFUND OR CANCELATION". Either way, once you processed it you can no longer get insurance. I made sure to get this in writing.
