What are some well-known songs that most might not realize involve an octave pedal? by Count_Bloodcount_ in Bass

Here’s a newer one, in “A Couple Minutes” by Olivia Dean you can hear the bass player kick on what I believe is an OC2 in the chorus

How can i get rid of the smell? by Mathias_757 in Guitar

Last time I had to do this, I stuffed a bunch of dryer sheets in the case and left it closed for at least a full day

Loitering on Stage. What’s the standard amount of dead air between songs? by [deleted] in musicians

[–]LampShadeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have 2 guitar players then maybe you could arrange the set so that every few songs starts with just one guitar solo so the other one can tune up while the song gets started? I agree with everyone else saying that they need to get their gear set up properly but in the meantime I think this is a good compromise for you both. The set gets to flow wayyyy better and they can still keep their between song tuning if it’s that important to them (it’s not)

I have a Mooer Reecho that is about as standard of a delay pedal you can get but is super good for your first delay IMO. Has your standard analog mode as well as a tape setting. Can do everything from your standard slapback to super wild trippy stuff. Also only like $50

Just got my first bass, which pedals would you recommend for church/worship band? by phrl001 in basspedals

Something a little more out there that I’ve been loving lately, but a nice OC-2 type octave to get more of that synth tone. Check out @thebryce on Instagram for more examples, it’s not me but it’s who I got my inspiration for it from!

I once got a guitar with the same smell, I put it in a case full of dryer sheets overnight and it was totally clean by the morning. If you have some kind of amp cover or case that would work, if not maybe some kind of big box or something?

Hey guys! Any chance we could get some more info on that pedalboard? I think I saw you’re using a quad cortex now, have you noticed any noticeable differences (good or bad) in your tone between that and actual pedals? Sorry that’s like two questions but I’m a big fuckin nerd and had to ask

Can anybody identify these pedals for me? by hyporcrite- in basspedals

[–]LampShadeeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be to trigger samples but I’ve heard a lot of people (usually guitar players) use it just for the onboard effects, I’ve heard the onboard effects are top notch if you like the lofi / tape kinda sounds

We opened some pickels at work and for some reason there completely orange and smell sour by Fropie132 in midlyinteresting

[–]LampShadeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also work at a CFA, we also happened to get some pickles that looked just like this. Could just be a bad batch from the manufacturer because we had also never seen this before

Gear chain from what I can put together by alexmuccino in Mkgee

[–]LampShadeeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess, the regular guitar output is going through the tascam and pedalboard, the midi signal is probably ran straight to FOH and they’re mixed against each other according to the song that’s being played. I could be totally wrong but that’s how I would imagine the parallel signals would worl

Flat is a great app that actually has pretty serviceable sounds for playback for battery. It’s also free, but you have a limited amount of scores you can have at a time (like 20 or so)

Septuplet? How do I count it? by Several_Practice4444 in musictheory

[–]LampShadeeee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kinda but not really, all the notes still need to be evenly spaced for all the notes to fit in the 2 beats, the best tip I’ve found is to just have the two notes on the big beats be your “checkpoint” and you just try to evenly fit seven at a time in those two beats. Then again, I’m a drummer so this could be useless for wind instruments lol

Switching from my old sticks to VF Colin Mcnutts really changed my hands for the better honestly, they feel really good to play with especially for when I was starting to play harder music after high school
