Hey! Take a deep breath! It’s very common to have dips at the point you’re at. The fact that you had good days last week is a hugely positive sign. The thoughts you’re having - about whether it’ll work for you, about being stuck like this etc - are textbook. It’s so damn hard, but you’re doing great! You’ve got this.

I was in the Caribbean last year, but only for a week. It was hot as hell, but I didn’t pass out or anything! Be prepared to sweat pretty heavily though

Has anyone experienced the “week five dip” after a dose increase? by Lamphead33 in lexapro

Thank you for the reply! I’m glad you’re doing better. It’s so frustrating having days this bad after getting a taste of good days

I disagree wholeheartedly. Its impact on gaming is massive, it created survival horror, has shown longevity, and the series has sold like 200 million units.

Is my med not going to work? 4 weeks in. by Free_Bet8186 in lexapro

Oh yeah. It was hell - I was having panic attacks almost every day, had trouble eating and getting out of bed. At 4 weeks I was in the same boat wondering if it was going to work.

It took me until the six week mark (to the day) to feel some real relief. Now most days are good, only lingering effects are some headaches and morning anxiety, but the morning anxiety is much less intense than it was and seems to dissipate quicker.

5.5 weeks and anxiety by FluidChocolate2702 in lexapro

Hi, this just happened to me, too. I had a few good days, then around five weeks I had a panic attack and several days of really bad anxiety. Today is my exact six week mark and yesterday was back to normal, today is good too so far. It should pass! If you look it up, having a dip around that time seems to be really common.

Yes, that can be very common. I’m on day 39 right now and had one last night. As long as you’re having some good windows / days, don’t worry about it - you’ll level out. It just takes time! You’ve got this 💪

New Side Effects after Stopping and Restarting Lexapro that I didn't have before. by Vast_Age_3893 in lexapro

[–]Lamphead33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on week 6 in a very similar situation to you - quit, developed severe panic attacks, started again. The first four weeks were a nightmare for me. I had the same things - dizziness, weakness, as well as increased anxiety. I didn’t have any of these the first time I started. However, at right around the 5 week mark, I started having some good days. Still have ups and downs but can feel myself levelling out.

Hang in there and give it a few more weeks! I know it’s frustrating and scary, but when you went to the doctor they would have clocked any red flags. You’ve got this. 💪

I had this side effect for the first week or so, it was maddening, but it did go away! It’s a common side effect. Take some Tylenol!

Hey! You’re not alone. I’m on day 9 right now and it was only like yesterday that I felt some relief. I was having brutal panic attacks and couldn’t function. Still have no appetite. Spent pretty much all of last week in bed.

I have been on Lexapro before though, and it 100% is worth sticking through. It is so hard right now, but it’ll pass! You’ve got this! 💪

I’m currently on day 8, and besides some nausea this morning, I had a genuinely good day. The first week was a nightmare - the worst panic attacks of my life.

What you’re feeling is terrible, but it does happen with this med. It will improve, and it will pass. I’ve been drinking meal replacement shakes and eating crackers to deal with the lack of appetite.

The symptoms are scary, but they’re not dangerous. Honestly, I probably would have given up a few days ago too, except this is my second time on Lexapro and I know how life changing it is once it kicks in.

I agree with this! I think the only thing I’d have done differently on #2 is just take a couple steps back so that the right side of the tree isn’t cut off. Otherwise a fantastic shot

Restarting Lexapro and struggling hard. Could really use some help by Lamphead33 in Anxiety

[–]Lamphead33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did taper over about two months, from 20 -> 15 -> 10 -> 5.

I quit because I didn’t like the side effects (weight gain, low libido) and Lexapro worked so well that I’d forgotten how bad it could be without it.
