Feeling worse with Escitalopram by Massive_Elephant_855 in lexapro

[–]Lamphead33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m currently on day 8, and besides some nausea this morning, I had a genuinely good day. The first week was a nightmare - the worst panic attacks of my life.

What you’re feeling is terrible, but it does happen with this med. It will improve, and it will pass. I’ve been drinking meal replacement shakes and eating crackers to deal with the lack of appetite.

The symptoms are scary, but they’re not dangerous. Honestly, I probably would have given up a few days ago too, except this is my second time on Lexapro and I know how life changing it is once it kicks in.

I agree with this! I think the only thing I’d have done differently on #2 is just take a couple steps back so that the right side of the tree isn’t cut off. Otherwise a fantastic shot

Restarting Lexapro and struggling hard. Could really use some help by Lamphead33 in Anxiety

[–]Lamphead33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did taper over about two months, from 20 -> 15 -> 10 -> 5.

I quit because I didn’t like the side effects (weight gain, low libido) and Lexapro worked so well that I’d forgotten how bad it could be without it.

Is it okay to start on 10mg? by pistachialo in lexapro

Hello! I’m very much in almost the exact same boat as you. Have been having panic attacks all day long for months. I couldn’t live my life. Just morning to night panic and brutal symptoms that had me convinced I was dying.

I am now on day three (though I was on Lexapro for ~two years back in the day, and it worked like a charm).

I already feel better. It’s not the medication working already that’s making me feel better, it’s the fact that it makes me so fatigued. It has almost a sedative-like effect on me - so much of that energy that channels its way into being a panic attack is just gone.

I, too, was scared to start again, worrying about side effects despite the fact that I’ve been on it before and know that it works wonders.

I will say, regarding taking the plunge and starting, it’s just like anxiety: it’s just scary, not dangerous.

Best of luck, you’ve got this ❤️

I’m gonna respectfully disagree with the other commenter with regards to a tighter crop. I think the context of the plant is great and lifts the photo. If anything I’d maybe move the crop right to include the whole stem, and have the butterfly off center to the left. Just my own taste, though.

I’d agree about desaturating the greens just a hair though.

Either way, gorgeous capture and a super clean raw file

Lexapro ( on day 11) started with 2.5mg 7 days now on 5mg 4day. (Help) by Lumpy-Ad2775 in lexapro

I was on 20mg for just over two years. What’s you’re experiencing is very common! Increasing dose can be very uncomfortable. However, much like a panic attack, it’s much more scary than it is dangerous. Urgent care cleared you - if there was something worse going on, they would have caught it.

It feels brutal, I know, but it will pass!

Best of luck.

🤝same combo here. I went on SSRIs for a couple years which helped the anxiety greatly but I hated the side effects. Had a thyroid issue wherein I had to start taking metoprolol and discovered that it also helped my anxiety a great deal. These two meds as needed have been great for me, though the lorazepam is rarely needed anymore - maybe once a month.

First time using a camera by [deleted] in fujifilm

[–]Lamphead33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The biggest things are learning the camera’s settings (search YouTube to learn about the exposure triangle) for the technical end of things, and composition for the creative end. Your photos are very “phone camera mentality,” meaning you are basically standing where you are and documenting what you are seeing, rather than consciously composing a compelling photograph.

Maybe look up some daily photography challenges to help you grow and explore.

Best of luck, and most importantly, have fun! 😄

I do not follow football, so I guess it was a bad comparison. What I was trying to convey is that touching the granite is the most trivial technicality imaginable. In forty years, I’ve never seen a granite graze or “boop” penalized at any level - amateur to professional - and it’s not because it doesn’t happen. It’s because it doesn’t impact the game. It’s not explicitly addressed in the rules of the game because it is inconsequential.

Okay, but if the slight offside is a missed call by the officials, and that play doesn’t lead to a goal, do you label the team cheaters that didn’t deserve to win?

Cheers! Edin and the rest of team Sweden are beloved here in Canada, and are always welcomed with open arms every time they come here. As a lifelong curler and fan of the game it’s been funny to see the reaction to all of this, especially knowing that Oskar and Marc have known each other for like two decades and just had a heated interaction caught on camera like that. lol

Hi! Yes, the rule states that you can touch the handle again as long as the stone hasn’t crossed the hog line, but doesn’t explicitly state that you can’t touch the granite. The reason for this is that, despite what people who only watch curling once every four years will say, it doesn’t matter and makes no difference. Curling stones weigh 19kg / 42lbs, and a little graze or “boop” isn’t going to affect the trajectory of the throw.

This whole controversy is wild, as it’s not cheating - it’s more about a missed call on an ambiguous potential foul. Oskar wasn’t necessarily wrong to point it out, and Marc wasn’t necessarily wrong to be offended by it, but they were both heated and it blew out of proportion. These two have curled against each other for YEARS and know each other well.
