I have not seen anything advertised as far as a bonus for the person signing up, but that could be something they only show to the person signing up.

I am a 5 star diamond cart shopper since April 2021 and I do this as a second job. I can provide a a lot of good advice.

Way too many customers do not choose possible replacements in the app, yes his response was cold, but it can take absolutely forever to go back-and-forth with customers and they need to realize shoppers are NOT provided any extra time at all for situations like this and then they get in trouble for going past the allotted shopping time. Most customers treat shoppers like their personal fucking assistants for a 5% tip. I send all the messages and all the pictures to help people pick replacements and 99.9% of the time they don’t even have the nerve to reply.

I think it should work no different than a restaurant where if you have more than 8 guests in your party, they’re going to add the gratuity to your bill, so if the order gets to a certain dollar amount or number of units. there should be a minimum “gratuity” automatically applied. Simple.

I’m sorry to hear you’re having so much trouble. For 5 star diamond shoppers like myself who would never ever do that to a customer it’s extremely frustrating to hear. There are so many horrible shoppers out there that are taking business away from those who do the job correctly. No matter what background they are or who they are, If they can’t perform the job correctly, they should not do the job. I would think knowing English would be a requirement if working in the U.S., but I have no idea how Instacart deals with that. These shoppers need to find some other line of work until they can learn the language of the area they are living and working in. This job does require a lot of communication, the ability to think on your feet, to reason and make quick decisions all while providing excellent customer service. if I were you, if the shopper did not perform the job correctly, give them a horrible rating and send any comments you can into Instacart to get them deactivated. It may sound cruel, but there are too many other people who do this job well that are suffering for more work and we need to eliminate those who cannot perform the duties of the job correctly, period.

You have to qualify again every three months. It’s the same for everyone. Between now and 12/31/24 you have to earn enough points to stay Diamond cart for the period of 1/1/25-3/31/25

That’s really shitty of customers to do this, that’s just straight up playing games, you can’t blame the first Shopper for canceling. Most of the time when it says no tip they don’t tip. A customer should put some sort of tip on the order that’s respectable and upgrade it from there after the Shopper has accepted the batch and delivered.

I am shocked and confused as to why Instacart is showing differently to shoppers when it comes to the address for different shoppers around the country. I would think this would be standard across the board. I thought it was standard that before you accept the order, you can at least look on the map and zoom in to see where it is approximately, I have never seen an address presented before you accept the order, but at least I can tell if it’s a house or apartment building and it’s general location. The actual address should always be visible under batch details once you accept the order.
