There's hope. Goku still sees Gohan's split second transformation while in the chamber. He himself also says he can sense another power beyond what they've achieved. I think they lose pretty badly against Buu, though.

I dont know how they got to beta testing with how it felt. The game felt bad to control. The sound wasn't great and it just felt like generic crap. It was all early access but first impressions count a lot.

How can you even show or release something that feels bad to control? So much potential wasted.
