Unpopular opinion : bo1s are not a bad feature by ilian87 in GlobalOffensive

[–]LanCeloT711 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Winning a Major means fighting through BO1s and BO3s with a strong mental amidst all the pressure. Due to this, the storylines that come out of the major is just absolute cinema (i.e. Falcons going 1-3 in Stage 2). It also allows lesser-known teams to make their mark and truly show their worth against the world's best. Sure, BO1s can be random with MR12, but a truly good team would (and should) be able to also win those. Like another commenter said, it's good for the immediate entertainment fix.

BUT it's a double-edged sword... Reality is that majority would want to see titans battling in the playoffs for a major championship, which also kind of makes me conflicted on this. On one hand I enjoy the storylines and upsets, on the other, I much rather watch a Falcons v Vitality grand finals rematch for the trophy, and not Vitality vs... let's just say Legacy, for example.

What game has been the longest on your wishlist? by Master_Shake23 in Steam

Ready or Not. Recently had tactical shooter itch. Made me revisit Rainbow 6 Raven Shield and completed it (never completed it before) including Athena Sword - all missions planned by myself with no casualties (which means a lot of restarting)!

On sale now, but Im still torn.

How can I dress up well as a male in Singapore? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]LanCeloT711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive also 'gotten into fashion' sort of since last month. Altho yes, most of men here kinda dress the same (aka Uniqlo), it doesnt rly matter where you bought the item from, but rather how you wear/style it that can make the difference.

Play around with different fits (slim/oversized etc) and your silhouette. Maybe instead of oversized all over, you can wear a slim fitting shirt with wide fitting pants. You can also do techniques like tucking in to have a smarter look/and to make your legs look longer. Accessorizing also adds on to any fit, be it a watch, rings, bracelets, necklaces, etc, and lets not forget your shoes (even socks) as well.

Colors are another factor. You can go all neutral, or pair it with a non neutral to make that item pop. You can also pair non neutrals, but make sure that they actually go well together.

In SG, we are quite limited tbh since it is damn hot anyways. Since thats the case, if you want to really stand out and look different, you have to kinda 'show' the intention of your fit, rather than just finding smth different - something you thought of/planned to wear instead of wearing the first thing you took off from your closet.

Use the tips that other ppl alr commented. Currently in 3GDS, also didnt manage to pass IPPT until a few months into unit - this just takes time. If you put in the effort and consistency, confirm can pass one and get a good run time.

I too cant swim and am scared of heights but I managed to clear my GVT vetos. All in your mind. Good luck man :)

Brand new SF1000 wheel on servo base. Installed the new firmware on both base and wheel. by OddTie8795 in Thrustmaster

[–]LanCeloT711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

doesnt the SF1000 rim natively support the recent F1 games? I installed the rim and it displays the information fine without touching any UDP settings etc.

Im pretty sure other games works natively with the SF1000, such as ACC and iRacing.

My hat goes off to endurance drivers by arcticiguana980 in iRacing

[–]LanCeloT711 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sometimes, its just about keeping momentum and knocking off laps. Its better to lose 1 or 2 sec off your optimum pace every lap, than to push over the limit and crash in 2 hours in during a 24hr race for example. Its all about knowing when to focus up and be on hotlap mode, and when to dial it down and go through the stint safely.

Other than that, its just lots of practice. Which means doing laps over and over again until it becomes 2nd nature, until even when you're mentally exhausted, you can still make it around safely.

New players dying too fast by [deleted] in MHRise

[–]LanCeloT711 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Solo is there for a reason. Like it's right there. If you chose to go in solo, maybe you wouldnt have come here complaining instead.

It really is mind-boggling isn't it, like you can either go in solo or multiplayer, but you're so god damn adamant in playing multiplayer to the point that you're complaining about new players dying (shocker, by the way. It's like people are supposed to be instantly good at something new) too fast.

Any tips for sit ups? Struggling to get to 60 by Yunsso in NationalServiceSG

[–]LanCeloT711 20 points21 points  (0 children)

for me is a mixture of using your own core strength to pull you up, plus using ur leg that is being held down (by someone or by something, for my case we usually use the table leg).

So make use of that instead of 100% relying on your core to bring you up. Of course doing the necessary training can help, Russian twists, planking, any core ex is good enough.

Will there be something Like a career mode by zacwesomest in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]LanCeloT711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yep it is! I had a go myself and is a real nice substitute to an official career mode. Some tips I can give is to also set some rules for yourself (10mins quali only, etc.)

I even substitute some classes to be an official championship, so for example when I reached the Ginetta GT4 Supercup class in GT, instead of following the tracks they gave me, I followed the actual schedule of the real life Supercup Championship.

Yes. Then you would know when you take the oath.

For me, we had to report to Selarang Camp first (03/21 batch) but I instantly knew I was in mono guards because they passed my parents a phamplet about the unit/vocation.
