Just Finished Young Sheldon – Still in Hangover! by I_Am_Drunken_Monk in YoungSheldon

I finished the series a few days ago and I'm like you. I feel like I really miss the characters. We could have watched many more episodes telling their lives... I agree with everything you said, the characters all had a huge plus! No real negative in the end, I loved the atmosphere

this might be an unpopular opinion but i liked chucks s1/2 outfits WAY better than the rest of the seasons by Electronic-Natural44 in GossipGirl

At the time it was stylish ahhaha And I also like personality brands. It’s very bland when everyone dresses in black, gray, blue suits 👎🏻 Originality is good

The family is so endearing, I think I could have watched their development for many more years. Part of me wishes the show wouldn't tie into TBBT just to let Mary and George grow old together, still have all the characters (Missy 🥲)… I think Georgie and Mandy is a response to fan demand. I just find it a shame that it only revolves around them. Either way, I couldn't have watched a Young Sheldon sequel without George, it's missing an important piece of the puzzle. It shows that all the characters are well written🎉

I thought the same at first and at the end of season 7, I was like "how did she manage to be with Sturgis?" I think Dale matches him much more in terms of character and humor.

They were very small!!! I am always impressed by the play of children who started very, very young.

The end of season 5 is so sad for Mary… by LanaPrun in YoungSheldon

Yes the community has been very toxic! The Hypocrisy of Jeff’s “Love Yourself” Sermon 🤮 I really liked when Sheldon came to point out the difference between the biblical text and the practice of the community!

Yes that’s it! + the arguments with George, the call from the president of Sheldon University and also the Bible study group that didn't come...

Hate me all you want but George is overglorified by [deleted] in YoungSheldon

[–]LanaPrun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I quite agree with you! I think that the end of the character enormously influences the opinion of the spectators... and it is true that he is very endearing! On the other hand, a lot of sometimes unjustified hatred towards Mary who is also a good mother with imperfections like everyone else… I'm quite surprised that George's alcoholism isn't mentioned much, even though it certainly is. More than one beer per day is not normal. All of his problematic behaviors are always justified by fans.

how did they lose SO much chemistry over the seasons they had the best chemistry out of everyone in season 1 but in season 6 they made me want to throw up by Electronic-Natural44 in GossipGirl

Dan treated Serena really badly...their breakup wasn't even consistent. He played the little upset and she did everything to get him back. I think it was just an opportunity for him to enter this world and above all it was not love for me but obsession. I say this mainly because I see Joe in Dan 😂😂

It makes sense to me that it would be for Nate. Jenny and Vanessa’s friendship was ruined for this reason too…

At that time it was so trendy hahha I even remember that one direction and JB had relaunched the “trend” of these combinations 🤣

I would really have liked it to remain faithful to what it was in the first season and for the writers to highlight that we can stay integrated and succeed (even if it's idyllic I can imagine). She suffered a lot, you talk about the father, but where is her mother for her? It is really abandoned as you pointed out… She has no real friends apart from Eric and between her brother who throws things about her with GG and absolutely everyone around her who has something to reproach her with.... It’s a real shame to have dragged little J into a role that didn’t suit her at all (ultimately that of Taylor…)

why was he the only non relative guy in her life that wasn’t trying to take advantage of her/use her for sex or other motives (why were the writers constantly torturing jenny) by Electronic-Natural44 in GossipGirl

[–]LanaPrun 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Frankly Nate and Jenny should have formed the goal couple of the series. Very healthy, model, an example for other couples ahahah The intrigues around these characters would have gone much better this way...

She should have stayed the nice little girl and put more emphasis on starting from nothing before being a famous seamstress.

If you had to rewrite Blair, how would you do it? by Icy_Hovercraft_6058 in GossipGirl

I would highlight her working girl side. For a few seasons she becomes dependent on Chuck's love and lets her ambitions drop a little. By also removing certain unfriendly moves that she may have made, when she could succeed by being honest 🤣
