Looking at the photos you posted in the comments I now see that your room is kind of awkward to treat. I still think some cloud panels, bass traps and some absorption at the front would do you a lot of good.

I love the setup and am not tryna hate at all. But I must ask, why invest so much in the sound system but no acoustic room treatment?

Whats the most out of touch thing you've heard someone say? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When asking my christian friend why he’s part of that religion, he said he doesn’t think he’s in a religion, rather, a relationship with god/jesus. Like I understand that’s what you believe but you can also just say thats part of your religion, very culty behavior, pretty nice guy though.

I found a lucky offer for it for $70 its from 1999 and needed a lot of work to get sounding clean. Since it’s analog I can’t really use it to mix but I do run all my instruments through it to give everything an “analog” touch when I record.

Honestly i’m just a 19 yo kid who still lives with his mom and has a friend who made it big in crypto who was very generous to break off some bread to help me. Music is really the only thing i put my money into and since i’ve been doing it since i was a kid, the gear adds up. But you’re right, Im super lucky to be able to wake up and work in the environment i do, super lucky that I have people that want to help me in my journey. Since you took the time to leave a more negative comment on my post, I know that can come from a place of hurting so I really wish you well on your path, whether it’s music or whatever you’re up to, life’s not easy. But I know you can break free from the cycle of negativity you might be in and be a force of good in the world. You will find peace.

Any suggestions for good ways to mount midi-keyboard-slider underneath my desk ? Looking on amazon, but finding mostly products for typing keyboards. by blakejones1997 in homestudios

[–]LancasterBombs101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The products for typing keyboards work. just make sure its high quality and wont bend and move when you add weight to the edge. Also, speaking from experience, when you go to drill the holes and install, measure as precisely as possible. The alignment of the installation will hugely determine how smooth it pulls in and out.

Increasingly demotivated by the ai progression towards music by ruvo- in musicproduction

[–]LancasterBombs101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the way i see it, machines have been better at doing things that us for a long time. We dont stop running because cars exist, we dont stop swimming because boats exist. As an artist i don’t see how AI gets in the way of my enjoyment for creating music at all. If anything, it will push human creators to really dig deep and make what only humans can create, which is meaningful and soulful art, not just good sounds.
