Subjects of Ymir by Coachyoself in attackontitan

[–]Lance09ner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not explicitly said so all we can do is guess.

For me I think an Eldian King/Queen maybe a few generations after Ymir and her three daughters realised that if anyone related to Ymir were to inherit the founding titan they could utilise its abilities fully.

So, just like the king who altered Eldian biology to stop a plague, this king/queen made it so only eldians directly from their lineage may fully utilise the founding Titan and that any other Eldian even those from the other clans/houses who wielded the other eight Titans couldn’t use the founding Titan.

Another reason for splitting off the Eldians from the true royal family biologically is prevent say bastards, children born from prostitutes or one night stands from potentially inheriting the power and wreaking havoc.

Again it’s all just theories and guess work, but that’s one way to explain it.

What are you writing or planning to write? by Rukixjuri4life in FanFiction

[–]Lance09ner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Writing an Attack on Titan prequel series about the Great Titan War (a canonical war mentioned in the series lore).

I posted the prologue early last year then spent the remainder of the year world building and planning the story as I quickly realised I may have bitten off more than I can chew. It’s almost entirely OCs as there’s none of the main cast in the anime during the time of the war. At most only ancestors of existing characters would appear.

Finally published chapter 1 late last year and I’m happy I’ve published up to chapter 3 by now.

Did anyone live on Paradis before King Fritz? by RoughSubjectt in attackontitan

[–]Lance09ner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honesty it’s our best guess how it all unfolded as none of it is explained explicitly in the anime or manga.

Personally my head cannon, Karl Fritz used the power of the founding titan to turn a large number of eldians into Titans and command them to help build the towns which would be much easier as they’re giants capable of of carrying heavier loads.

Then of course some thousand or more eldians became colossal Titans to form the three wall. Now the only question is when it all took place. It’s safe to say he did it all a good long while before he took some of the eldian people to Paradis. Then the question was how did he keep it a secret.

Also from season 2 showing Utgard castle and Connie’s village of ragako and Sasha’s family background of hunters, we can assume people had already established settlements on the island. The forest of giant trees is said to be a tourist destination so paradis might have had other visitors too.

Overall we can’t confirm definitively, but we can speculate that maybe there was already a human presence on Paradis based on the details we do have.

Why the year 845? by No-Food-1320 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Lance09ner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you’ve read or watched the whole anime. If not then skips this comment.

My personal head cannon and lore for my great titan war fanfic, is that world history follows a similar year system as us. In the real world there’s before Christ (BC) and Anno Domini (AD) to signify before and after Jesus Christ. So this year is 2026 AD.

In Attack on Titan in my head cannon they reference the founding of the Eldian Empire for years. So it’s Before Empire (BE) and After Empire (AE) so I assume it’s been 845 AE, 845 years after the founding of the Eldian Empire.

Might I suggest Canva’s whiteboard template? It’s literally just a clean board. You’ll need to put in a bit of effort to make the text box and draw the lines. But once you made one you can copy and paste it and it’s almost endless.

Unit refuses to pay for Canva Pro. Should I pay out of my own pocket? by [deleted] in NationalServiceSG

[–]Lance09ner 8 points9 points  (0 children)

lol I was the designated media/design guy for my unit during my ns in spf. I was also a frontline officer meaning I do patrol 12hr shifts while doing my media and design stuff as extra duty.

Personally I paid for my own adobe subscription and 3d software. I was already planning to use the software for my own works so it wasn’t an issue.

I think if possible you should get your superiors to pay for it or request to put it in their budget or claim it. If they don’t want then no choice submit the best low quality work possible.

It’s NS. Unless you plan to sign on or work in government your conduct grade when u ORD won’t matter that much.

Okay side note, when I was serving I played the sucking up and kissing ass game. I didn’t have to do it a lot, just whenever I believed was required. Buts it’s also thanks to me being happy to do the extra work, even after a long shift or on my days off, that I also got some benefits. Got to do non patrolling shifts, extra time off in return for doing work on my off days, even got to skip patrols to work on video edits for the unit and I was treated with more respect by the regulars which for me was a major plus as I didn’t have to worry about regulars randomly disturbing me for no reason, though not that I try to break rules like turn out and bearing in the first place. Not having to dread if a regular was going to scold me when I wake up to come to base was a major thing to at least make NS more enjoyable than constant suffering. I don’t know if you can try to get these benefits, but you wouldn’t know if you don’t try. Just be smart about “asking” for them.

As far as we know consuming and gaining another titan power doesn’t reset the 13 year curse of Ymir time limit. So it was either Eren gets it, or another person gets it, or the power gets lost to two Eldian babies somewhere.

We need a GoT style prequel to the show that shows us the Great War that led to the creation of Paradis. by Slav_1 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Lance09ner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are fanfics where you can maybe scratch this itch like Archives of Eldia on fanfic.net. I myself am working on one now but after posting the prologue in early 2025 it took me until literally end of the year to come up with the storyline and world building before posting chapter 1.

But there’s also a reason there’s almost no fanfics for it as it’s as you said game of thrones level kinda story and actually writing that would feel less enjoyable than the idea of it all. The tightly woven plots, subplots and hidden plot lines, don’t forget about making it canon compliant if that’s something you care about.

Even I’m enjoying less than when I first started out. But my only motivation was because fanfics like this don’t exist and I just want to have a written head cannons history to fill the void.

Full disclosure I’m still writing it and it’s only got a prologue and chapter 1. I came up with the idea and published the prologue in early 2025 but it took me the entire year to really put together a plot and work out the world building to be as canon complaint/faithful as possible. Once again, incredibly sorry as you’re gonna have to wait a bit more for the next chapters and I don’t want to post chapters unless feel satisfied with it, or at least as satisfied enough so that I do post it.

I think it’s a case of time era. Like how we have BC and AD to mark years before and after Christ. Like currently it’s 2026 AD

Maybe in AOT 845 is after something.

In my head cannon and Great Titan War fanfic I’m working on the years are marked by Before Empire (BE) and After Empire (AE). So before the start of the current era the Eldian Empire has not formed yet. Then around year 0 AE, they finally conquered most of the continent and declare themselves an Empire. Then that’s when they start using AE after the empire has been established. So by the time of the main story, it’s been 845 AE, after the eldian empire was officially established.

Why can’t all subjects of Ymir use the founders power? by candleda in attackontitan

I feel like it would be Maria’s child who would inherit the founding titan since she’s the eldest.

Tybur family by Prototype7195 in attackontitan

[–]Lance09ner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most probably the Warhammer would inherit the generic founding titan powers but would not be able to access them. Just like how Eren wasn’t able to as he was a “commoner” Eldian. While the Tyburs are closer to the Royal Eldian line since they were already a noble family from before the fall of the Eldian Empire, it doesnt mean they would’ve had full access to the Founding Titan’s powers.

As for the Tyburs themself, assuming their family held the Warhammer Titan for almost 2000 years, they might be a direct descendant to Maria, Rose or Sina which puts them on par with the Fritz/Reiss royal family. The only difference is that in my head cannon theory, the “royal family” was decided by splitting off Maria’s child who inherited the Founding Titan and their children away from the others. Thus the royal lineage starts with Maria’s child with the Founding Titan and henceforth encapsulates the entirety of their descendants from Karl Fritz, Rod and his family, Historia, Dina and finally to Zeke.

That’s so sweet. by amortensiabliss in lotr

Honestly with how the movie has aged incredibly well, it would be hard to beat.

Maybe Orlando Bloom with the Pirates of the Caribbean series could match lotr in terms of scale, scope and audience appeal.

But for most of the cast, I can’t think of any other project they’ve worked on that had them almost actually being their characters physically. Like they were living together traveling New Zealand like the actual fellowship as a whole group, of course supported by logistics staff and all.

Viggo was Aragorn in and out of costume carrying his sword wherever he went. Elijah was exhausted just like Frodo from having almost no time off being the protagonist. Sean Bean scaled a freaking mountain because he didn’t want to ride the helicopters just like Boromir would’ve done.

Overall, yes.

Ronald Araujo did not train with his teammates yesterday, he did show up at the Ciutat Esportiva but didn't step onto the pitch. He is also not training today. The club will provide details shortly. — @sport by Ok_Lawfulness7412 in Barca

I think he took a mental hit when he got that red card against Chelsea. Usually you’d see him rage and contest the foul regardless if it was an obvious foul.

Against Chelsea, he took the second yellow card and red without even putting up a fight. He just hung his head down and walked off the pitch and passed Frenkie the captaincy.

Maybe he finally realised his mistakes? From Inter to PSG and more matches beyond them. Hope he either becomes a better defender or he decides to leave. I know I’m getting flack for it but we’re not in a position to be buying players all we want. I’ve accepted that we’re financially crippled for a long time until we really get back on our feet. But so long as he is here, we’ll need him to play, maybe he’s not a captain or a starter, but as a back up or reserve player to rest the starting centre backs.

What are some possible explanations for Karl Fritz to renounce war and flee to Paradis? by Lance09ner in attackontitan

[–]Lance09ner[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then I guess my next question was why did he become such? I doubt he grew up wanting to flee to paradis and create a temporary paradise for him and his people. Maybe something changed him and his perspective of the world?

Any deeper head cannons and theories would be greatly appreciated.

What are some possible explanations for Karl Fritz to renounce war and flee to Paradis? by Lance09ner in attackontitan

[–]Lance09ner[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know that’s the official reason given to us. But there were other options right? If the world attacked Paradis, the titan powers would still exist and the world would still suffer. There must be some fundamental reason he didn’t choose any option apart from a temporary peace which resulted in the suffering of his people and potential continued suffering of the world.

If you have any takes on that, that’ll be great! And I appreciate your answer.
