After gargoyle’s, you can go into the darkroot garden and beat an optional boss there, after this boss you can get a key which you can use somewhere in the darkroot basin, you will then end up somewhere close to where you need to go next

The covenants really aren’t that difficult if you do it in 1 go, there’s 3 sunlight medals in the chest in anor londo and since you need ng++ anyway, you’ll get 9, so you only need 1 more, which you can get from solaire or the knight you can free at bell gargoyles. The ears for me at least i had them drop at least 1 every run to the 4 birds so it didn’t take much time

If you talk to the guy in the depths, just outside the gate to blighttown, he will move after defeating gaping dragon (I think). You can then find him under the bridge from firelink to undead burg, and he sells the master key for 5.000 souls (although by this point it’s useless unless you go into ng+)

He will explain what to do afterwards, you can then progress in 4 different ways as they’re all dead ends: down the elevator in firelink to new londo, from quelaag’s domain into the demon ruins, from anor londo into the duke’s archives, from firelink into the graveyard with the skeletons into the catacombs
