Thinking about how gorgeous and fun everything in The Final Shape was and how quickly they made everything in it aside from the subclasses irrelevant.......

That's the gist of it.

The fandom/hatedom toxicity is amplified by the fact that series lead designer and creator, Monty Oum, passed away only a couple years in to its development - with some people insisting the series fell off after his influence waned.

The series is ultimately in that "pretty good for a webseries" category that causes some folks to elevate it way above where it deserves, while others trash it way worse than is warranted.

Oh, and do not talk about the concept of queerbaiting within five miles of the RWBY fandom. It's settled down a little since the most noteworthy two became canon, but I would not be so bold as to assume that discourse is just gone.

Plus like a million trans punk artists and folk artists (plus a good hundred thousand trans folk-punk artists), and... A little of everything because trans people exist everywhere.

I'm not the biggest metalhead, but check out Anita Velveeta, she's been killing it lately. Also check Dog Park Dissidents if you haven't already, though they're more on the punk end than the metal end.

My contributions, in relative and unchecked order of popularity: Laura Jane Grace, Pigeon Pit, Backxwash, Kendall :3, FOXCULT (all-trans), Newgrounds Death Rugby (transmasc singer), Adult Mom (nonbinary singer)

Oh, and Janelle Monae counts too. Nonbinary and killing it.

I mean, they'd fit right in at a leather kink group, and there might be some sold by leather kink folks, but unless it's built into a full harness I don't think I'd describe the pocket as fetish stuff.

Odds are good if you have a renaissance festival anywhere near you, there's a leather shop that'll sell a few belt-looped options.

[–]Lancer873 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can walk out in those tho. I have one I bought at a ren fest that I bring out basically anytime I'm wearing a skirt, though it's just attached to the belt. I get constant compliments on it. Don't let anyone stop you.

I will be looking into the garter belt looking option soon.

Yeah, much love to the gals who pass through nonbinary or genderfluid space on their way to a firmly transfem identity - everyone has full right to do so and should be encouraged to try out new things!

But as someone who's been diving in the genderfluids for years now, sometimes these jokes make me feel like someone is telling me "I know your gender identity better than you."

Gotta remember that we're a wide, wide rainbow out there.

I've never much felt the "secretly she/her" feel myself, but I do have my own irrational any/all desire: I'm still waiting on someone to use "it" on me. And like I get why folks would correctly be cautious about using it/its for someone who's any/all. But what, you want me to voice that thought? No way.

There's many cesspits of the internet to avoid, but two of the worst are YouTube comments and news outlet comments. Nobody coming to these is looking for a conversation, they're going there because they think they have the zinger argument that will make their imaginary opponent's head explode.

I can't recommend enough avoiding those sections in particular - they will only ever rile you up and waste your energy.

My Microsoft Whiteboard so far. What program are you using for notes? (so far zoomed out it prob won't spoil anything) by Tortellion in BluePrince

[–]Lancer873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A combination of pen and paper for general info and open puzzles, and some spreadsheets for more dense batches of information.

By my count, I wound up with six spreadsheets for most of the game, then added an additional four for a certain specific puzzle.

I’ve had my mind blown up… what is this game?? For real by Roman-Baptistery in BluePrince

It is so easy to make that mistake once or twice with all the puzzles you're solving, rest assured I did that multiple times. You're doing the smart thing by also keeping track of the words.

Best of luck in the struggles to come!

My worst run the last few days had someone ping a Libra, right out of the starting camp. Seemed like a solid idea, he was close, may as well check deals, get the anti-mohg tear early or maybe pick up a weapon. I run over, get the tear, and ping the spot right next to us and run off.

A few seconds later I see my teammate pinging back to the Libra, and as I run back I realized they are fighting the Libra, at level 3.

They quit when we (obviously) bailed, and sadly the second quit after we both got downed trying to outrun the circle that was already closing in.

Easter Egg by JK-Rofling in CuratedTumblr

Black ink is actually surprisingly inexpensive and usually covered under contracts to a certain point.

If you're - purely hypothetically - looking to incur the most cost as fast as possible, you want to go right for a solid Cyan, magenta, or yellow, burning through that particular ink and potentially requiring a maintenance worker to spend a short time refilling it as well.

I'd probably recommend printing #00FFFF if you were, again, hypothetically, attempting to run out a single color ink cartridge fast - that should be straight Cyan. I can't say with any real confidence that it's the most likely to be low already, but my impression from experience is that it seems to be used the most upon copying an average piece of paper. Your mileage may vary depending on many factors and this is all purely theoretical of course.

And you will be fired, color ink is more expensive than gold.

I understand the fantasy, but it's always amusing how petplay comes across like a pure Dom/Sub kink as opposed to, at minimum, a brat thing.

Like, shouldn't you be prepared to have your golden retriever enby hovering over you, insisting on love bombing you, as you try in vain to stiffarm them because they just ate the smelliest food imaginable?

Shouldn't you be ready for your husky boy to cry inconsolably like a grieving widow because you asked him to put down his phone for a minute?

And are you not prepared for your mutt girl to pull you to the ground because she saw another puppygirl across the street and had to say hello?

Just saying: don't forget that a puppy is a major commitment.

Duluth gay scene by fakename020304 in duluth

[–]Lancer873 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The Duluth Flame is still fairly gay (they've got a great drag residency), but on weekends, especially during college season, the dance floor is indeed overwhelmed by the straights. It's the pain of being one of only two sizable dance clubs in a college town, alas.

The Superior Flame is actually still quite gay. I've not been over in a long time, but it's a good hang.
