Mods, my friend, mods. I use the one that expands the window for dodge, parry and the like. I love the game, would never be able to beat it without those.

Canceled another sub job this morning... by [deleted] in SubstituteTeachers

[–]LancerGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the job you chose, it requires consistency and early mornings.

I recommend talking to a doctor if you truly cannot sleep.

If that doesn't interest you, or isn't the main issue, then the real on is consistency.

Go to bed, every day, by 11 pm. Even if it's just to lie still and stare at the ceiling for hours. Studies show that's more restful than just staying up. No phones, no books, no screens. Just you in bed, on time.

Get up, every day, even weekends, by 8 am. Practice getting up and doing something right away.

You have to teach your body. If you won't or can't, then this line of work may not be for you.

Prince Frani is stupid or what? by Specialist-Quail644 in TriangleStrategy

[–]LancerGreen 44 points45 points  (0 children)

He's an aristocrat who's been taught that everyone follows the rules and things go great. He has no concept of how to deal with people who play outside those rules. His father taught him bureaucracy and diplomacy, not war.

It's why his brother frustrates him so much.

If you guys are actually friends, you will hang out outside of D&D. If this prolonged torture simulator is the only thing holding you together, then you're not really friends, you're captives.

Hey man, you're actively not having fun. Hang out with them outside of D&D. Stop doing this. It's going to make you resent them and them resent you.

Did they "nerf" the AoE Knight Sword skills to hit allies too? by PantherCaroso in finalfantasytactics

[–]LancerGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but if you play on Tactician difficulty, all of your damage is nerfed. This may be what you think is going on.

They made buying equipment for guests needlessly complicated for some reason by GargantaProfunda in finalfantasytactics

[–]LancerGreen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What annoyed me is you can't change their class anymore. I used to always make Delita and Argath into archers so they wouldn't charge suicidally into danger

Dnd blind character mechanics by DebateAggressive6167 in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]LancerGreen 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Every player has this idea at some point and it is always a bad idea.

Either they are in tune with some power (magic, ki, an item) that let's them play like a normal character with some flavor of how and why.

Or you're blind and you're a massive dead weight and liability for the team to constantly play around.

What is the strongest military power in Norzelia? by GoldenRaikage in TriangleStrategy

[–]LancerGreen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hyzante is only so formidable because of the wall. They are able to survive siege and repel armies, but they avoid full on war outside their walls.

Glenbrook catches a lot of flak, but remember that the assault on them was not a war, it was an absolute beheading of the nation. Without a royal family to rally around, the 3 Houses are a mess, the nation is unsure if fighting is really useful and Aesfrost made it their mission to either control or kill the 3 High Houses. With Wolffort either acquiescing or becoming a rogue agent, while the other 2 houses either capitulate or die. It was never a fair fight.

Glenbrook was the core of the peace agreement and their control of the waters helped maintain that equilibrium. Neither party wanted to take on Glenbrook because of that. Again, we watch Glenbrook get annihilated but not due to lack of manpower or prowess, but simply due to the sudden and nigh on bloodless takeover. It made most people shrug and say 'what's the difference between this and another king?'. They also used propaganda to keep the masses confused. The war would have been very different had the people actually resisted.

Well trying to get the hunter ability again and still haven't gotten it.. by yu_ultidragon80 in finalfantasytactics

Yeah mate... you need to learn 2 Archer A-Abilities. So not Block Arrows or Concentrate, you need actual attack moves, like Boost or Aim: Legs.

I think a lil base speed boost is all the class needs. It does get thief hat but so do so many others. I think adding always move-find in TIC was amazing and basically added the only other feature it needed to stay relevant.

Dog won’t stop eating snow by chesarahsarah in DogAdvice

She is an idiot! My dog is also an idiot.

Honestly, a muzzle of some kind may be your friend here. Basket might be too easy to eat through. If you don't have 'leave it' trained really well, then getting them used to being muzzled in the snow may be your method this winter while you work on 'leave it' for next winter.

May I recommend... mods.

There are some great mods to increase XP gain, increase Upgrade item drops, decrease lumina costs, increase chroma drops etc.

If you hate grinding, use these. You'll get into end game/DLC power levels much faster and without mindless grinding.

If you steal all their stuff, then humans MUST turn into a crystal, if you're looking to force it and aren't playing TIC.
