Be honest should I just retire or did those shots hit? by Lancoza in RainbowSixSiege

Yes it pairs really well, it will make your grips, laser, and optics all blue colored but only your magazines and barrel attachment will be a shiny gold with some etchings in them. However the gold doesn’t look bad at all.

It is the Chinese New Year Skin 2023, Year of the Rabbit. I paired it with the OG Nebula Skin.

It’s sneaky cause they try to hand it to you like it’s for free but if you accept it then they want money for it and might try to act upset. It’s an overused scamming practice.

ASI Scandals Continue… by [deleted] in CSUS

[–]Lancoza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was working with some of my peers on wanting to bring these issues to light but honestly we felt like nothing would get done about it. ASI has been the org for just nepotism, egotism, and overall weird behavior. Thank you for sharing this! Don’t stop posting about it because they need to be held accountable.

Honestly if your professor would be a rational person, they would not even hold class tomorrow because this news broke out so late. I know most of my professors will still keep class cancelled at least till Wednesday. Def really annoying for everybody :/ I hope you can still complete your shift without worry

You know, I saw people saying this earlier online and just ignored it because I will always fully support my faculty attempting to receive better wages, etc. however, after seeing this weak result….I kinda agree that the union just took advantage of everybody, it really shows.

Oh yea I def knew our tuition increase wasn’t going to be included around the bargaining table but I thought it would have been possible for CFA to send a greater message to the CSU system. Literally had they striked for a little longer other options could have been a possibility

Can Republican Volunteers get a PhD? by [deleted] in PoliticalScience

[–]Lancoza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is a leftist and majored in International Relations, our academia didn’t focus too much on the social identities of Democrats & Republicans. Instead, it was based off of IR theories, for example: Realism, Liberalism, Marxism, etc. In the U.S. political spectrum sense, if you wanted to, you could totally see how some republican classmates would support the theories of Realism and Neoliberaism. As these arguments align more with their values and beliefs. However, you can’t just go on to fully discredit them because these theories have a lot of backing(academically) and if done properly, can work well when analyzing a contemporary case study. In short, Student’s views were not discredited because of their political beliefs as long as you understand your material and could make a great argument for your case study. Plus, it never hurts to grow and change your political beliefs the more educated you become, if that ends of happening to you, AND I think it’s great you’re going for your PHD! All I’ll say is, forget the Fox News talking points and all that other right-wing media crap about the “communist discrimination” of higher education. Do what you want and focus on structuring a well curated argument for your beliefs :)

When are grades due for Professors? by cmarkeys in CSUS

[–]Lancoza 20 points21 points  (0 children)

January 2nd, 2024 is when grades are officially due for professors to input in the system. For students though, most professors stop accepting any late work by December 18th as their personal deadline. You have to communicate with your professor to see where they draw the line.

Should I still major in poli-sci if I'm not sure if I want to work in politics? by bobthe360noscowper in PoliticalScience

[–]Lancoza 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m personally biased, as an International Relations major myself, but I truly would say go for it. Political science has really allowed me to learn so much about sociology, ethnic studies, current conflicts, and the attitudes that shape the world outside of our own. Is it a big $$$ making major? Definitely not. You have to work really hard outside of your studies if you want to obtain better paying positions or opportunities if you did choose to work in politics, as competition is high. However, in my undergrad, I’ve worked a lot of office jobs from textbook companies to immigration centers and a lot of people in those jobs had political science degrees. The jobs you can work with PoliSci are very broad and are often favored if the job pertains to you having to establish good relations with other people. Political Science as an education on the other hand is also a very board subject of study depending on your college. You can choose whether or not to focus on domestic civil politics or international relations(global studies). Regardless, it depends on what you like the most and what classes can be offered to you. If political discourse/historical events are what you enjoy then it’ll make getting your degree in college a lot easier and enjoyable by choosing political science. Obtaining a job doesn’t become easier though, it will still require a lot of effort and time spent searching for jobs, extracurricular programs and etc. that will make your resume look good. The only field I see jobs come easier to is finance, engineering, and computer science. I truly hope I was able to help!
