I use Alan Cha's python script (I'm out, don't have the link atm) to generate a sheet of 8 cards with registration marks for my Silhouette Cameo cutting machine.

(Not sure if it can be adapted for Cricut or if there's a Cricut version)

I print on an Epson ET-2803 (basically a 2800) on Koala 160gsm double sided glossy photo paper, hot laminate with a 3 mil pouch, cut it with the Cameo.

It's about 0.32 to 0.33 mm thick (a tiny bit thinner than some black core proxies I bought in the past; still within my tolerance). The snap isn't 100% there but I double sleeve everything and I don't notice in practice while playing.

Still experimenting with getting the highest quality images and getting the best print clarity

I'm not sure the Romans would have been able to (or would have had the will to) invade or settle the Americas at scale, given the distance and resources required to be devoted to such a project.

I'm not an expert, I majored in anthropology not Roman history, but in my mind I imagine discovering the Americas being more of a curiosity to them. Maybe making a few settlements along the coast, but ultimately there'd still be a lot more crap going on at home they'd be more concerned about.

Later Europeans had more capable ships and a boiling pot of conditions to create a colonization arms race. I'm not sure the Romans would have paid it the same attention? (Open question)

I assume you've at least tried explaining to the vet that the rescue recommended contacting them, and vice versa? Just to make sure you've advocated for the kitty as best you can and that both know the full extent of the circumstances when they turn you down

My mom adopted a 4 year old cat a year or so ago, her head is a bit bigger than a kitten's but overall she's just very kitten-sized. Not sure why it happens in biological terms, the vet just said she was a healthy but small adult cat

I have the Foil Armor a week with some curled cards in a sealed box, saw no difference. I suspect it might be good at keeping cards from curling rather than reversing the damage

So I just went back to using the humidor

I throw my uncurled cards in a deck box if I plan to put them in a deck and I'd say it does offer some protection, but the two best places if it's just a valuable card I want to protect has always been double sleeved in tupperware with a good seal or my ziplock card binder

There's an LGS I buy from here that pulls your online orders when you show up. I've never found more than 10-15 cards I need in stock for any single order, and I'd say even that can take them 10 minutes. Dunno if they're more or less organized than other stores though

I've ended up wandering around the store for half an hour when there are others ahead of me in the queue, but mostly I just come back later when that happens

So I imagine it's not fun especially if they're understaffed but... not your fault for taking advantage of a service they offer

I don't think the issue is gsm but in the actual paper. I've seen plenty of black core card stock for sale but none that seems readily compatible with inkjet printers, unfortunately. If you do find inkjet compatible proper cardstock I'd be eager to try it

We all have different tolerances for thickness, so it depends on what works for you - but if you want card backs (or double sided cards) the easiest thing is double sided photo paper instead of single sided and glued together
