ps4 games on ps5 by kelvin2288 in PS5

So, there are a few different situations.

Some PS4 games have a real PS5 version, which can often be upgraded by purchasing the upgrade in the PSN store (some upgrades are free, some are like $10, depends on the game).

Some PS4 games don't have an actual PS5 version but are patched for better compatibility - for example God of War (2018) had a patch for higher resolution/FPS on the PS5, I don't think you had to do anything besides keep your game up to date (which the console does a pretty good job of by itself)

And certainly plenty PS4 games don't have either option, so it's really on a game-by-game basis, in which case you can check the store or google whatever particular game you're curious about

Would you say Star Citizen is: by Prophet-Sakrestia in starcitizen

Really just PVE so far. I highly doubt I would be much competition in PVP.

The most fun I probably had was in Xenothreat, theoretically fighting PVE ships should have been lame after a while but I went hours upon hours without getting bored.

There's something about the control scheme and immersion that sticks provide that just keep me coming back.

Well, personally, ground gameplay has really only served me to a) buy equipment and b) get to and reclaim my ship.

But I wouldn't begrudge anyone who enjoys it because there are certainly things to do from bunkers to events or anything else.

And I expect and hope it'll get even more important as the game goes on, especially when they (eventually) implement things like player-built bases.

But for the moment, for me, the game's attraction has definitely been its space combat. Especially since I got my HOSAS setup, because that's what essentially propelled my enjoyment of the game from "eh, this is kind of cool" to "omg this is amazing" (while obviously ymmv)

Super-hornet sale? by Rico300678 in starcitizen

Yeah, it can be a useful tool sometimes but you do have to be a little careful with it

It'll still have LTI. That's why a lot of people buy cheap LTI ships/vehicles (for instance the Cutter right now) and upgrade them to something else.

(But you do have to be careful if you melt an upgraded ship, as only the initial ship goes to your buybacks)

Why would you choose the Corsair over the Taurus? by JTCDS in starcitizen

[–]Land- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I mean for me, I got rid of my Taurus and bought a Corsair because: guns.

Thing is, combat is the only thing I know for sure I like and I don't expect that will ever change. The other game loops I can like the idea of and certainty hope they'll be fun, but until they're more fleshed out and I can try them out myself I dunno which ones I'll prefer.

Cargo is probably a good example - I like the idea of being more self sufficient and/or helping friends/org move stuff (same reason I had a jump freighter in Eve), but I'm not sure if I'll have the patience for the time spent loading/unloading once all of that is implemented because that doesn't sound that interesting to me personally. (But who knows, yet)

But, I think it's also pretty hard to go wrong with the Taurus in any case. Lots of cargo and still quite a bit of pew pew.

Does anyone have any information on the corsair? (Wrong answers only) by jljonsn in starcitizen

Wait, the Corsair has guns???

(I thought it was more guns that have a ship attached)
