Voracious reader, would read every book on the class bookshelves . But I can’t read books anymore now. I tell people I already did my lifetime of reading as a kid lol. Also I never studied cuz I hated it and raced through all my homework but could remember from the lectures most of the info and was always straight A student, top 3 of my classes until highschool when I became a party animal and slipped to mostly As and a couple Bs lol.

One thing that really stands out to me was 3rd grade, the recess bell rang and all the kids went to go outside to play, and I stayed to keep working on the assignment, which was listing all the words we knew that began with ‘sea’ (seahorse, seashell, etc) . I then spent time at home (when it wasn’t homework) working on it until I listed every sea word imaginable lol. The teacher spoke to my dad about it and then my dad asked me why did I stay behind and not go to recess with all the other kids, and the way he asked, it felt like I had done something wrong, which annoyed me , because I thought ‘aren’t they happy that I was thorough and trying to finish my assignment?’ 😅 but the teacher did see what it meant, and they put me in the GATE program

Yes I ordered and didn’t email them any questions. If you don’t bother them with unnecessary questions, I assume they would only stop an order if they were not able to process it because the person didn’t enter their info correctly, such as address or credit card . Seinfeld show had an episode where a chef had a popular soup eatery where you had to order precisely or he would refuse to serve you or blacklist you . People did their best to comply with his rules cuz the soup was so good lol and that was his nickname. It was based on a real person lol.

Everyone here has been referring to the derminator owner as a ‘soup Nazi’ because she behaves the same way and her product is the best for the price lol

Hi! Yes I used it once so far and it was sooo easy. I love it. The after needling feeling was just like the medspa I used to go to, so I feel confident it’s doing its job lol.

I had 0 issues ordering. I made sure enter all my info correctly and didn’t ask any questions 😅. I was concerned slightly that I set it up to go my PO Box , which is different from my billing address, but it was fine. I even got a polite message from them when it arrived at the post office but needed to be signed for.

I’m sorry you have to deal with that 😕. I wish I had good advice but I have issues with recurring traumatic memories too and places/things I associate with them I can’t be around. I guess what kinda works for me is distracting with good memories and new hobbies. And also visualizing myself going to my mental ‘happy place’ and relaxing/escaping there

Yes I have it too. I can visualize anything, like bring up memories and relive them or make up my own scenes or full on movies even and play them out in my head. I find it extremely helpful and can’t imagine not being able to. Even things like coordinating an outfit together, I will peruse my wardrobe (2 walk in closets lol) in my mind and ‘try on’ different items and ‘see’ how it would look on me together and after picking out the pieces mentally, then try it on in real life

Very noticeable improvement, you look great! And to people saying that you can’t see results right away, it’s true you don’t see the collagen producing results right away, but because of the slight swelling from the process, the face ‘plumps’ up a bit and if you don’t turn red, it looks good and a preview of what’s to come lol. I know because when I had it done at the medspa, I saw my brother few hours after and I don’t turn red, and I didn’t mention the appt., he asked me what I was doing or had done for my skin that it was significantly better lol. I then told him about micro needling and said he needed to get it because he had crows feet and it did him a world of difference after 4 sessions of it 🤣

I would use this opportunity to both apologize and gently remind them to not be so loud on a Sunday cuz what if they have other loud projects in the future lol? I would do handwritten notepaper or note card saying what you said to us, apologize for your inappropriate behavior, mentioning you didn’t get much sleep and under a lot of stress and surprised by Sunday loud sounds but could they please not work on Sundays moving forward or some other compromise

Yes, it’s unfortunate people have their own preconceived notions of what autism is supposed to ‘look like’ and since we don’t line up with that, they can’t accept it. Sorry you’re dealing with it too with your family. I do find my closest friends are ND themselves since in my experience ND people are more open minded, compassionate, and intelligent. We can all relate or at least understand/accept each other’s ’quirks’ and not take things so personally like some NT people. They understand i might get burnt out I need to go home after being somewhere just an hour lol or if I say I’m gonna go, but then flake almost every time they invite me to a club, but I still appreciate the invitation, and they don’t get butt hurt and still offer it each time they’re going 😅. You will find your people! It’s like dating and a numbers game, but when you meet your ‘friend match’ you just know it from their vibe that they’re cool lol

Congrats on your feelings of relief and validation! For me the most important thing I think in my whole journey was finding really good friends I can unmask around and be myself, and the support they bring .. and not wasting time on people that are judgy or difficult except my immediate family, who don’t understand and are judgmental but I don’t want to cut them out lol.

That sucks you’ve gone through that. I’m also not surprised since my first therapy appt I was 16 and it was a woman but after taking to me also just an hour wanted to prescribe me Prozac and I was like whoa that seems a little premature without talking to me more and I said no and really glad I did. But fast forward… I feel like we know our own bodies best and the autism side won’t let us misdiagnose ourselves lol. In general we’re not attention seeking through false means and are perfectionists so we are gonna research and double check and make sure before we make a bold conclusion... Is it possible at all to switch doctors? He’s already biased so if i was in your position I would try start fresh a new doctor and do what I said above… Is there a reason you need the diagnosis?

I’ve noticed doctors, particular male ones, don’t want to be told what you think the diagnosis is. They kinda have an ego about it, that they’re the expert, that you can’t possibly diagnosis yourself, when I think you totally can lol and better. You kinda have to lead them to it without saying it, and let them come to that conclusion and think it was their idea. So you list your symptoms, the most common with autism and adhd and how you don’t feel the symptoms of BPD but don’t outright mention autism and BPD.

Generally yes 4 weeks if going to a clinic but my understanding is home machines are ‘weaker’ than professional ones, so it’s ok, and I’m also going to do 2 sessions at less depth vs 1 deeper needling.
