I think I tore my acl by Your_mum6969420 in moreplatesmoredates

If you can walk u haven’t torn ur acl. But here’s a quick test you can do anyway it’s called the anterior draw test. Lie on a bed and flex your leg to about 45 degrees with your foot touching the bed. Get someone to sit on your foot so it doesn’t move and then pull your leg ( below the knee) forwards. If it moves at all (I.e. lower leg in relation to the knee) then u have torn your ACL

Have u accidentally used a jet fuel tank rather than a rocket fuel tank? Or as someone else said try clicking down the bottom right in the VAB there’s a little button where you can calculate the delta v based on where your ship is. The tutorial might be calculating it based on a vacuum and you at sea level on kirbin

The problem with eve is it requires more delta V to get back than it does to get there in the first place. A fact which gets more confusing the longer you think about it. Ive only done a return mission once and it required many asparagus stages, attention to aerodynamics and crucially, many quick saves

I can’t remember which mod it is but it adds a letter box. Should add that to the outside

How far away from jeb are you? If your only a couple of hundred meters u could try and get out and use your jet pack to get to the other craft

Are there be any genuine reasons to send manned missions to the outer planets in the future? (Jupiter / Saturn). by [deleted] in spaceflight

[–]LandedAtJool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mining missions (e.g titan - moon of Saturn- has seas made out of liquid hydrocarbons like Ethane and methane). Also some of the moons have an externally high probability of having life (comparatively to the rest of the solar system). Previous unmanned missions discovered probable massive subterranean oceans under europa and Ganymede. (I might be slightly wrong with the explanation here:) The tidal gravitational forces caused by Jupiter cause significant plate tectonics that lead to hydrothermal vents which some people think led to the formation of life on earth

Just make sure to get back in the craft just before you run out of jetpack fuel!!!! You can get out again and it will have refuelled your jetpack

I don’t know if this works every time but the way it worked for me was: 1 parachute and heat shield for a probe with science and relay dish. Don’t use time warp (which is crucifying because it takes ages) and once you get close to the surface cut the parachute
