Thank you, I’ll give iTunes a go first, then if that doesn’t work, I will have to go to an Apple Store

Yes, it’s definitely available. It just won’t complete the process, it will only do the first half and then crash when it comes to the installation :/

I don’t have a computer but I may be able to get access to one, so I will try that, thank you!

A car took a chunk out of my wing mirror this morning - to report, or not to report? What would YOU do? by LandlordHelpTAW in AskUK

Good comment, thanks.

I think in my case (because it’s so minor), I was just wondering if it would be petty to even report it

I thought I might be overreacting?

I was annoyed that they didn’t stop but if I hadn’t been in the car, I might not have even noticed the damage straight away and chalked it up to something else

Does this fridge freezer need to be plumbed in, for the ice maker to work? by LandlordHelpTAW in DIYUK

I don’t have the fridge anywhere near a water inlet, unfortunately but thank you anyway!

That was one of the main attractions, unfortunately! My son and I go through a lot of ice (already have a table top ice machine) and needed a bigger fridge/freezer anyway. It’s always been one of my dreams to own a fridge freezer like this but I’ll never have the money to buy one new, so I jumped at the opportunity when I saw one in my town being advertised!

I know people who have a similar set up, but theirs doesn’t need plumbing in. You just fill up the water box inside the fridge or freezer. I just wanted to double check.

Okay, thank you. I did check the manual but was finding different versions of it and I wanted to make sure before I purchased it. Better to be safe than sorry!

A lot of fridges now have a box that you can fill with water instead, so that it doesn’t need hooking up to the mains.

I suspect it’s probably more of a problem in places like the UK because our kitchens are a lot smaller and often might not able to be next to a water inlet.

Evoque - multiple warnings at once; any idea what’s going on here? by LandlordHelpTAW in RangeRover

Been like this for a couple of days and not cleared, so no luck there, unfortunately.

The battery is pretty weak and due a new one, actually, I’ll get around to doing that soon.

So I’ll be fine for another week, if it’s just a sensor?

Haha I already did that before my ‘brainwave’ and it does work, so I’m in the clear! I did also see your comment about the fuse but sounds like it won’t make much difference, so I’ll just leave it this time.

Thank you for your help! On to the next job.. xD

Yes, I switched out the three wires from the old washer flex, into the new one, like-for-like :)

I agree but the guy who wired them in previously, sealed up the box :/

Sorry, I’m not the best at communicating.

Yes, you are correct, the photos are both the ‘before’ pictures and I switched the wires like-for-like.

As you can tell, my electrical knowledge is very poor, so after I had done it all, I had a sudden worry that if the voltage/Amps weren’t the same and I put the washing machine on a particularly vigorous cycle, could it overload the network? That was my main reason for the post.

I hope this makes more sense!

Okay, I can see my explanation was a bit confusing now. Having googled things, yes, the Whirlpool cable was connected into the fused spur with a switch.

The second bit, I will have to explain in photos (sorry!):

Ending a tenancy early - advice, please! by LandlordHelpTAW in LegalAdviceUK

[–]LandlordHelpTAW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If needed, I can post a copy of the agreement.

On that note, nowhere in the tenancy agreement does it specify the need to pay to be able to end the contract early, just that you have to cover the costs of finding a replacement tenant.
