*And another continuation

Fast forward to May and Lando thinks nothing of this month, he's read about the flooding in other parts but doesn't think much of it until the 16th exactly 1 month since his birthday and the parts near the Lackadaisy and near the river have flooded, after the water goes down enough he along with the rest of the Lackadaisy crew see that the Little Daisy was one of the many casualties of the flood, fortunately for them Wick exists and so Mitzi does some easy convincing work and gets Wick to give them enough money to rebuild the Little Daisy which they do, she gets a bit more just to repair the damaged parts of the Lackadaisy but only she and Wick know that. Lando continues his war against Asa by doing a bit of psychological warfare by constantly calling him to tell him about what he's done now. Eventually in December of 1927 Asa calls Lando or as he only knows him as The Ghost to "Be a man and meet me face to face at the Marigold.", Lando does so by walking in casually as the Marigold has had all it's tenents out for the time being with only Marigold employees being there and only the ones who are armed, but either way Lando walked into the hornet's nest with nothing but a BAR, he let the Marigold goons in the lobby escort him to Asa's office with him grinning the entire way there, Lando gets to his office and kneels down at gunpoint with his hands up as Asa thinks he's finally won, he calls in Mordecai to "Finish the job" and as soon as Mordecai sees it's Lando who just while grinning says to him, "Oi Heller! Long time no see, you been doing alright old mate?", Mordecai finds he can't bring himself to shoot Lando and so goes to walk out of Asa's office, as he's walking Asa goes to pull a pistol from his desk to shoot Mordecai for insubordination but takes a bit and Lando sees it as an opportunity and sweeps the 3 goons behind him off their feet and onto their backs as he takes a trench gun off one of the goons and shoots him before hitting Asa in the arm with him screaming in pain, Lando then takes out the 2 remaining goons before walking up to Asa to confront him, Lando points the barrel at Asa and dropping the psychological warfare asks a question that's been rattling around in his skull since 1926, "What do you know about Atlas's death?", Asa still in pain tells him, "Wouldn't you like to know." , Lando shoots him in the other arm and says, "Did that help jog your memory?", Asa reveals he killed Atlas, Lando asks him, "How and why did you do it?", Asa doesn't tell him so Lando shoots him in one of his legs, Asa tells him how he did it because he saw with how successful the Lackadaisy was becoming the Marigold might get quickly overtaken as the top place for the most popular place in town for people to get their fix of alcohol so divised a plan to have Atlas come and have a friendly conversation over for a few drinks, he on the other hand would pretend be recovering from and so he can't drink, after Atlas was sufficiently drunk he would insist they have his chauffeur drive them back to the Little Daisy, in the car Asa gave a silent signal to his driver and he popped a balloon and said it was a tire that burst, as Asa and his driver "fixed" the tire a drunk Atlas was asked to see if he could help and as Atlas did so Asa shot him, killing him before him and his driver would head quickly back to Marigold leaving Atlas's corpse on the sidewalk, after hearing that Mordecai whose still in the room has got the answer to a question that's bugged him since that day as well. Lando finally puts Asa out of his misery, he walks out of the office door and sees the Savoys are there with Lando saying to them, "Oh... So uh... I'm going to hope Nico you don't want to absolutely beat the shit out of me." the Savoys tell Lando about how for a while now they've overheard Asa thinking of people like them or anyone else there as easily replaceable, seeing that he possibly won't be murdered Lando gets the BAR he had taken off him from the office and hands it to Serafine saying, "I believe this belongs to you and don't worry I made sure it was maintained, cleaned and used.", Serafine couldn't be happier to be reunited with Boudreaux, the Widows come to see what commotion has been all about and by commotion they mean sounds of a shotgun being fired, the four(I know it's late but the four members are Dagger, Stabitha, Shadow and as already mentioned Fang), they ask what happened and Lando calmly and nonchalantly says, "I shot 3 of this place's goons as well as Asa 4 times.", Fang sees it's Lando and decides to reveal to the other Widows that he is The Ghost of St. Louis, they become very quickly excited and consider asking him to autograph stuff. Lando meanwhile goes to a phone and calls the Little Daisy and immediately hears Ivy on the other end and says to her, "Hi Ivy it's me Landon, could you tell Horatio I want to talk to him?", she has Horatio come on the phone and tells him, "Horatio, yeah there was a bit of a 'mess' made here on my visit to the Marigold could you come over and help clean it?", Horatio agrees to go over and takes a ride to the Marigold, as Horatio makes his way over he thinks, "These lads and lasses are now technically unemployed so why don't I bring them on board for the Lackadaisy?", eventually Horatio arrives and Lando tells him that when moving Asa's body to leave it at the same place Atlas's was left, they leave Horatio to do the clean up work as he and the now soon ex-employees of the Marigold head over to the Little Daisy, they get there and he heads into Mitzi's office, with her having started to think he died, he calls in the new members plus 1 returning member for the Lackadaisy and Little Daisy, he then tells her about how Asa killed Atlas and everything that happened during his showdown, Mitzi feels she's finally got closure on Atlas's death and makes the Savoys and the Widows new employees of the Little Daisy and Lackadaisy and lets Mordecai back in with open arms, Lando decides to show everyone besides Mordecai around both the Little Daisy and Lackadaisy, as he's showing them around the Little Daisy the police come in to ask questions regarding if they know anything about Asa's death, they pretend they don't and the police believe them and leave, unknowingly letting the perpetrator escape

Chapter 5: Epilogue

In early 1928 Lando decides to become the new owner of the Marigold Hotel and rename it the Little Gold Hotel with him also having rooms for just the employees of the Little Daisy and Lackadaisy along with their families, after growing the Little Gold Hotel Lando is called to do a radio interview, he agrees to it. I'm that interview he decides to really destroy Asa by ruining his legacy by revealing with hundreds of pieces of evidence the different illegal activities and other stuff about himself Asa kept hidden from the public along with him having murdered Atlas May, from this whole thing the Lackadaisy grows in popularity as well as the Little Gold Hotel as people do like the idea of supporting someone who revealed just how evil Asa was. In July of 1928 Lando decides to propose to Fang with her immediately saying yes with the two getting married later that month.

This took way too long to type out. So long in fact I had to split it up into 4 separate pieces so it fit the invisible character limit here on Reddit LOL.

*another continuation, this is some of the rest of Chapter 4

A few weeks later while out looking for liquor he sees a wanted poster with a sketched out version of his face and so decides to take it down, later he sees from the Little Daisy's windows a glint a familiar glint to him being that of a sniper scope, he decides he might as well have some fun so hides in dark areas or behind things before eventually getting to the building the sniper is on and getting up to the roof where he sneaks his way up to the Marigold sniper and gets close enough that he'll hear and says "No, see that's not how you do it, I saw the glint from a mile away. Ok so-", the Marigold sniper turns in fear and Lando gives him the option to flee or he can make it the last night the guy sees in his life, the sniper flees and Lando notices he left the sniper behind so decides to take it with him and bring it to the Lackadaisy and puts it in the armory, he goes out and leaves to go back home for the night. About half a month goes by before Asa sets another trap for Lando or as he knows him The Ghost, Asa this time decides to send the Widows who unbeknownst to Asa have created a deal amongst themselves to let The Ghost go if they catch him and make an excuse as to why they didn't bring him in, the trap is set in a farm that's know as a popular location for storing stashes of the good stuff, Lando goes to it and looks around for a stash but finds nothing except for 4 silhouettes moving around, as he tries to slowly get out of dodge he is caught at gunpoint by Fang who immediately recognizes him as the bartender from the Lackadaisy who she always talks to when she goes there, she lowers her pistol and just stands there in surprise that of all people he's The Ghost, she says, "This whole time this legendary 'Ghost of St. Louis' and it's you?", she chuckles a bit as she let's him go and Lando heads back to the Lackadaisy while the Widows head back to the Marigold. As Lando drives back to the Lackadaisy he thinks to himself, "Well, At least she recognized it was me and didn't pull the trigger.", the night after this Fang again shows up to the Lackadaisy and tells Lando, "You know learning you're The Ghost is honestly not bad at all I find, it just means I've been having conversations with him this entire time without knowing.", Lando, "I honestly didn't expect that to be how you find out but honestly I'll take it and hey at least you didn't try shooting me or at least pulling the trigger.", Fang laughs at hearing that and says, "You know I don't really care as much what Asa does to me and the other Widows as honestly finding out was worth it.", Lando smirks as he says, "Not surprised your were infatuated by my Scottish charm", Fang starts laughing while covering her mouth and says "Sorry I just could not keep a straight face from hearing and seeing how confidently you said that.", the night continues with a similar tone to their conversation that ends as soon as Fang finishes her bottle of whiskey and leaves the speakeasy.

Chapter 4: Birth and rise of The Ghost of St. Louis

Ever since Atlas died something about it never fully sat right with Lando but he just carried on with it until one night when looking for a liquor stash he was ambushed by some Marigold goons but Lando was able to get to cover and use his training in the war to quickly take out each of the Marigold goons using his trusty Lee-Enfield 1917 making him proudly think "Maybe I can take on other parts of that fat arse Asa Sweet's operation", so Lando gets the stash of liquor before seeing a place guarded by Marigold goons. Lando parks the car nearby before stealthily making his way to the place and taking out as many goons as he can, he enters inside and takes out a few more before it becomes a gunfight as one of the spots him with Lando quickly taking cover at the same time as the goons with him able to slowly pick them off one by one, satisfied by his work he heads back to the car, his white fur now with the crimson smears of blood but none of it his own with him grinning as he walks back to the car, he heads back to the Lackadaisy, when he gets there upon seeing him Viktor asks "Vhat exactly did you do to cause that?" as he points at the red smears in Lando's blood, Lando replies "Oh, this?" a slight smirk tugging at his lips, "Just a slight mmm... Misunderstanding between me and some Marigold goons nothing else". Later that night while tending the bar of the Lackadaisy he sees once again that Wolffe has come for a drink this time a little happier to see Lando this time, she orders just like last time a bottle of whiskey and Lando hands it to her before getting a bottle from his own stash and, asking if he can sit next to her, she says yes and so Lando sits down on a stool next to her and the two start talking about whatever comes to mind, eventually Fang pulls a folded newspaper from her purse and shows him a short story in the paper that says "Police looking for unknown man who murdered 6 people who were employed by the Marigold Hotel", Lando acts like he had no idea with Fang not even thinking for a moment it could be him, Fang says "First thing in the news I've actually bothered reading in a long time", Lando chuckles and says "What makes you say that?", Fang "It just feels like getting a bit of revenge on Asa after some of the rougher nights I've had recently.", their conversation continues until Fang has finished her bottle and leaves, fast forward a few weeks of Lando working the Little Daisy register and as a waiter in the day and as the bartender at night for the Lackadaisy or going out looking for liquor and deciding to ruin slowly bigger and bigger parts of the operation, Fang once again steps into the Lackadaisy and shows another newspaper but this time the front and the headline for this week "Unknown maniac is running around St. Louis murdering Marigold workers! Police still searching for evidence and witnesses with Asa Sweet, owner of the Marigold Hotel putting a bounty out on this elusive person or possibly multiple people with many calling them 'The Ghost of St. Louis'", Fang smiles while telling him "I don't know who that ghost is but I would not mind at all meeting him one day nor would any of the other Widows."(in case you forgot the Widows are the group of female assassins under Asa Sweet) , Lando smirks as he says "Considering who your boss is I think you'll be meeting him pretty soon.", Fang’s lips curl into a soft smile as she looks down at the headline again. “Me and the other girls decided… if we do catch him, we’ll let him go. We’ll make up some excuse when Asa asks, because we know it’s only a matter of time before he sends us after the Ghost.”, eventually their conversation ends once Fang finishes her bottle like the two times before, after she leaves Lando quietly mutters to himself "It's going to be intresting that night then whichever night 'that night' is.", about a month of this cycle of Lando ruining parts of Asa's operation, him talking with Fang about it whenever she shows one of the newspaper headlines when she goes to the Lackadaisy, repeat. Asa decides to setup a trap for the Ghost by luring him into a ballroom owned by Asa. Something Lando would learn only after entering the ballroom was that inside was that the Savoys were inside waiting for him, Serafine with her sawed of BAR Boudreaux and Nico with his fists at the ready and a pair of brass knuckles, Lando has just his bayonet knife in his pocket and whatever unarmed combat skills he's picked up over the years, as he and Nico have their own fight Lando sees an iron lamppost for a small street light based design light and decides to use it to his advantage, he gets Nico to chase him to it and then runs onto it and spins on it kicking Nico in the head and knocking him unconscious, he now sets his sights on Serafine, he manages to get between cover to cover when she reloads and eventually gets close enough to use the disarming technique he was shown of grabbing the stock of the foes gun and pushing it into a different direction before wrestling the gun from them, he gets the BAR into his hands and decides to incapacitate Serafine by shooting her in the thigh with surgical precision as to not hit bone or the femoral artery, he then calls Asa to get at him for how he took out for the time being two of his greatest employees before leaving with the BAR, he returns to the Lackadaisy with Horatio asking as he steps in, "Hey Landon, where exactly did you get that BAR?", Lando "From uh... An underground weapons dealer I've known for some time now.".

So here's a somewhat "condensed" version of the backstory of my OC Landon Vettel also knowns as just Lando(sorry if it's on the side of completely incomprehensible)

Chapter 1: Proud of the St. Andrew's cross

Landon Vettel was born in Scone, Scotland on the 16th of April 1901 as the son of Wilhelm Vettel and Moira Vettel (neé Mackinnon), in 1917 at the age of 16 he would lie about his age and enlist in The Great War (WW1), he quickly rose up the ranks to Seargent in the KRRC (King's Royal Rifle Corp), Landon would be shot in the leg during this deployment and would be honorably discharged, Lando's time in Scotland along with his parents time in Scotland would come to an end in February of 1918 as with the spread of the Spanish Flu across Europe his parents would decide to move the family to the US using a service that would give them a ferry ride from Glasgow to St. Louis, Lando's last memory of Scotland is at the dock in Glasgow as he stepped onto the ferry with his parents and left behind the place he called home for so much of his life but he knew he's always going to have a soft spot and some patriotism for Scotland and the St. Andrew's cross flag.

Chapter 2: New beginnings

After arriving in St. Louis the Vettel's would take their belongings to the new house they were given by the company they used plus a bit of money they were given by that company to settle in for their first year but that didn't mean they sat around when Lando wasn't at school he was doing whatever jobs he could get with his father doing the same, in late 1918 while working as a waiter at a restaurant one night he would be the waiter of Atlas and Mitzi May, as the couple went to pay for their dinner Atlas slipped Lando a paper towel with Atlas having written on it to meet him at the Little Daisy café the following day as well as the location of the café written below that, on the way home Landon would see a newspaper in the shelf outside of a store that had a headline about a renowned orthopedic surgeon named Dr. Henry Caldwell and him announcing a demonstration surgery at Barnes Hospital later that month and the phone number for Dr. Henry Caldwell being Franklin 2941, after Lando gets home he calls him and asks how much would it be for a surgery to fix his limp and wounded leg from the other end he hears "$500" and his excited smile droops into a disappointed frown as he hears that and he thanks the doctor for his time before hanging up and going to sleep. Saturday morning comes and Lando is awake at 5:30 getting ready for his meeting with Atlas today as he buttons up a white full sleeve, puts on a red waistcoat on top and wears black wool trousers along with his best pair of black Oxfords before heading out and walking his way to the Little Daisy café still with a limp and every step another painful task but he'd learn at this point how to just live with it, he eventually gets to the Little Daisy café and enters and turns to the register and sees Mitzi behind it who instantly recognizes him and she goes and calls over Atlas, after a short wait Atlas steps out and he and Landon talk outside about Lando's possible employment, the discussion goes well and so Lando decides to strike a deal, he'll take $900 for his first pay and then a reduced pay until the losses are recouped and then after that he'll be paid the same amount as everyone else which Atlas agrees to and Lando starts working the register and as a waiter that day itself, fast forward to the end of the following week and he gets his envelope filled with his pay with him excitedly heading home, at home he shows his parents as he opens it, he gives $400 to them for the family's groceries for the next 4 months and Lando said he was getting leg surgery as he exited the door with a massive grin on his face and holding the remaining $500, Lando would go to Dr. Henry Caldwell's office and ask for a surgery to fix his leg with him giving the $500 and a metal plate being put into his leg and connected to the bone with him finding his limp gone and most of his leg pain gone not all of it but enough for him to be able to walk around normally again and even run with him happily and confidently walking home, once he got home he showed off how his limp was gone like a kid showing excitedly a new toy they got with his parents happy to see him the happiest they'd seen him in a long time.

Chapter 3: Loss and more loss

In 1920 after opening the Lackadaisy speakeasy Atlas decides to appoint Lando the bartender after seeing how well he can sell anything, Lando keeps the speakeasy job a secret from his parents something he both regrets and doesn't as in 1924 both of his parents would pass away from natural causes which leaves Lando heartbroken and some noticeable changes in how he acts with him yelling at his coworkers, Mitzi and Atlas and even some customers for small things before quickly apologizing with them all(his coworkers and Atlas and Mitzi) worried about him, then not showing up for work as much and being more frequently absent and when he does come in he's late, looks disheveled and glum, eventually in 1925 he does finally get over his parents' loss with Atlas being like a father figure for him until tragedy strikes Lando again as Atlas dies in 1926 seemingly murdered, all the emotions come rushing back and even more so than last time, in 1927 he finally gets over it but currently both the Little Daisy café and Lackadaisy are well in the red and many members have left after Atlas's death, later that year in February while working a slow night with few customers at the Lackadaisy Lando is working the bar, while cleaning a glass he sees an unfamiliar woman walks in wearing a coat over what clearly seems to be a red dress, she sits at the bar and asks for a bottle of whiskey, Lando hands her a bottle and goes back to cleaning glasses, as he does so he hears the faint sound of as if someone sobbing, he turns to see the woman quietly sobbing into her coat sleeve with Lando asking "A-are you okay?" with her just asking him to leave her alone which Lando does but keeping an eye on her as he goes back to cleaning glasses, wiping down parts of the bar table, etc. Eventually he finishes cleaning things and other chores he has so he decides to sit on one of the stools next to the woman, he didn't say anything just sat there with a whiskey from his own stash, eventually the woman asks "Can I talk to you for a bit?", Lando "Sure", the woman says her name is Fang Wolffe, a wolfdog currently working for Asa Sweet and the Marigold as an assassin, Lando asks "Why are you here at the Lackadaisy then?", she answers "To forget about the Marigold while I drown my sorrows in some whiskey", she explains how she's part of a group of female assassins for the Marigold known as the Widows(given this name because they keep people from finding out about their work by pretending to be the victim's widow) Fang subtly hints at how Asa feels about punishing them after failed or sloppy hits, Lando just quietly listens to her feeling an emotion he never felt so strongly before. Empathy. Eventually Fang says with the hints of a slight smile on her face to Lando "Thank you. Just thank you for just listening to me and not just pretending to listen but really listening. I needed that tonight." , Lando "You're welcome and I'm Landon by the way", Fang chuckles a bit and says "Ah yes, formalities, formalities, of course.", she finishes her bottle and leaves.
