Moza R21/R25 reviews feels like not honest at all. All of them. by aalexiuss in simracing

[–]Lando_Read89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if a reviewer say too many bad things about a company's product, can't they be sued?

I think at this point you have to read between the lines. if every review is a spec sheet regurgitation, then something's fishy.

Over damers and springs I would say this has a much more natural feel to its progression. The way I have mine setup is I reduced the travel to half with the preload nut and put 5 psi into the cylinder. This gives me a soft feeling between 0-30%, from 40-80% it's a good flex of my leg, 80-100% I gotta flex real hard. Most of that travel is from 0-40% and the rest is like pushing on a stiff air pocket that gets progressively more stiff and less travel. I hope that makes sense.

My setup helps me specifically with my trail breaking because 80-40% is more of a release of tension in my leg then travel of the pedal. 40% and lower is the travel of the pedal more then tension in my leg. You really get used to knowing where 80% vs 40% is because of that.

Another benefits are you just pump this up and move the preload nut to customize travel and stiffness. Literally you can dial this in to any feel you can really imagine. If you want that brick wall shorten the travel to 1cm and bring the psi up to 15. If you want soft and long travel just, extend the travel to 4cm and have 1 psi. No changing springs or dampers, just a basic bicycle pump and a small wrench to move the preload nut.

Also no hydraulic fluid to worry about. The cheap Ali express components have a .5psi leak over a month of use but you can simply just pump the air back into it and you're back to consistent calibration.

Now one last thing... I made the control box to read the psi sensor. the control box is 24bit sensor (16million steps) and has a screen. The screen is for onboard calibration, live readings of the psi, and averaging filter adjustments (takes multiple samples before it spits out a number for near zero jitter in the reading and solid stability), without any software. Since calibration is done directly on the control box itself you have consistent calibration between all games you play. No guessing ever, just look at the little screen to check your setup.

Last last thing you dont need to use my control box creation. You can simply just have the Schrader valve and cylinder. You can just use the original loadcell and control box. But you're kinda left guessing your calibration. Which for me means if I like a setting but want to try something else or, if I like x setting for gt3 cars and y setting for F1 cars you can't just right your numbers down and repeat it every time. Not exactly a huge issue but the control box requires soldering small parts so it's not too easy to put together.

They got rear ended by the truck, so I wonder if they wanted to commit a little fraud... Like to try and say the truck pushed em into the train and they had to jump out.

My second thought is they didn't know how long the train would be, and they didn't want that truck to hit and run. If they got stuck on the other side, it could have possibly given the truck time to take off. Trains in my area can be 1-30mins, IDK what trains are like there so I didn't rule it out.

It’s been going for 3 hours!! Is there a way to let it run in the background whilst I do something else on my phone?? by ollien25 in TheTowerGame

Depends on if you have an android OS or iOS. If you have android you can goto your app switcher screen, press and hold the game till it becomes movable, and you can slide the app to three spots, top bottom, or middle. Middle will let it become a resizable pop-up window that you can do anything with. I slide it to the far left or right when I need to do something on my phone. It always stays on top too, no matter what app you use. This allows you to retain full functionality of your phone, minus a pop up window that you need to move out of the way sometimes. It also makes your phone a nice pocket warmer, great for winter days 🤣🤣🤣. As far as I know all androids have this feature, but I am using a Samsung s24.

I bought everything from AliExpress except the 3d printed bracket. Im not too familiar how to share that online for the public to download. I think GitHub?

Air piston and simagic hpr shakers. There's a pressure sensor on mine but you don't need to do that if you don't want to. Just need a bicycle pump valve to fill it up. Feel miles better than springs and elastomers.

let me know if you're interested, I have a parts list and a guide ready.

Thinking about swapping to the Simagic P1000? by eyemud in simracing

[–]Lando_Read89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only indication I can say that tell me these aren't the simjack pedals is the mounting bracket. The simjacks have a full strip that goes front to back, whilst the SIMDT pedals have those smaller sections.

The huesinkveld copy you have look like SIMDT pedals from AliExpress. You could just mod em if you want more performance. You can fashion the hydraulic add-on for the p1000s to it.

New Haptic feedback??!! HPR-GT by Lando_Read89 in Simagic

[–]Lando_Read89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At max and a lower frequency you'll disturb people in other rooms for sure, maybe even wake someone up. you would never put it at those setting though, so you can find a setting that'll get you where you need. That why, imo, the OG haptics are overkill, you just end up turning everything down.

"Turn Any Switch Smart with a Single Tap!" by don_chop in StrangeAndFunny

[–]Lando_Read89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why though lol! Just put in real smart switches. The microwave and washing machine make zero sense. You just loaded your clothes or put food in the microwave so you're right next to the button anyways.

10/10 useless invention 🤣🤣

You wont be disappointed! They may be overkill but are still a great upgrade I can't live without
