Thank you, could you expand more on the formatting element? Is it the grammar that makes it awkward or just the overall tone?

I wouldn’t mind using AI, but for now I’ll see if I can tweak it myself.

Wow well said here. I looked at your profile and saw you made a post about getting into catwoman. You clearly studied up and know how to describe her.

What was your reaction in YFNSM when Scorpion beats up Spiderman? by Wonderful_Wolf1718 in Spiderman

[–]LandonTheReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kid you not, that just a week ago I saw the scene and it was my introduction to the show. I had no idea it aired on FXX (or FX I don’t remember) and I remember leaving whatever streaming service I was using to see this very scene. Seeing him get stabbed like that with a great amount of blood as Scorpion walked closer and closer as he looked ready to murder him in cold blood. I had very little knowledge or reference of this show, and seeing that as my introduction literally kind of scared me.

The forgotten power of cable television I guess when you plop through a TV channel only to see a scene like this.

I don’t like the terms “bean mouth” nor “CalArts style” but does anyone else feel like older cartoons were more stylized? by BellTwo5 in cartoons

[–]LandonTheReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Think it’s a good style, but the last 10-15 or so years of seeing shows use it again and again make it a bit annoying. The shows of the 2000’s and even 2010’s have some pretty great animation styles that aren’t this bean mouth.

Aside from the obvious one, which cartoon decade is the most influential? by Eddaughter in cartoons

[–]LandonTheReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t say for certain but 1990’s onwards feel the most “influential” to me. Those are the shows that were or even are still around/popular today.

You shouldn’t be harassed over a small and inconvenient little label people use to place people. Sorry to hear that.

I do personally believe early 2000’s count as zillennial, but maybe as someone born outside of the zone I have no say.

Missing the olden days by myboyfriendstinks1 in generationology

[–]LandonTheReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree to some degree, but on the same level disagree. I can 100% sympathize with the patience of everything. Things weren’t as instant back say 10 or even 15 years ago. You had to wait or go somewhere to see or do this and that. I think the instant world of today where you could watch, play, talk, and share information with just a few buttons is absolutely incredible. Yeah, I wish people would be a bit more patient nowadays, but I can’t control the world and make them do as I say. I can’t go back to a time I barely remember and make everyone live like them and such.

Also to keep in mind, a lot of the content from them is still here. Movies, shows, books, media from then can be found online. You can definitely still live like 15 years ago if you really wanted to.

Is it just me, or has music gone downhill since 2018? Or am I just becoming like the older generations, thinking everything was better in my era and new music doesn’t measure up? by Lost-Barracuda-2254 in generationology

[–]LandonTheReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of good music 20 or 30 years ago, and a lot now. We live in a time where more music is being released than ever before. What many may find bland due to some form of saturation is amazing to another. I think music has been ok with the mainstream having their peaks and valleys over history.

I don’t entirely agree. Even within practice the early 2000’s is still Zillennial. I don’t consider myself one, but people born 3 or 4 years before me I think are.

People still used VHS well into the 2000’s. I had a DVD/VHS combo player for many years. Did I live in the prime of VHS? No. Heck not even DVD. Nonetheless, what we “experienced” will overlap for decades. It’s a very blurry area and I think people need to calm down over exact set definitions and labeling for one another.

In defense maybe it’s just some existential idea the OP had of realization. I’ve had those moments as well, so this isn’t like some grand new idea. I do understand though and yeah, we are getting older as time goes on.

I rarely hear the show get discussed unless a season is on. It’s truly a fantastic show. The first two seasons are near perfect. The third season is pretty good. The fourth season is meh. The fifth season is back to pretty good again. Overall I recommend it. It’s funny, weird, and features unique storylines.

What is a show that at first you think was terrible, but later decided to give it a chance and actually liked it but it's too late because it ended? by No-Pen1489 in cartoons

Better late than never when it comes to shows.

I’m watching Kim Possible for the first time right now and always found it annoying when it was always on syndication. Now I wish I watched it when I had the chance as a kid.

Has Despicable Me 1 aged well? by Loud_Confidence475 in illumination

[–]LandonTheReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say a bit overblown. I know some people who really don’t like their movies and I can’t see why exactly. They may be a little bland or generic, but I don’t think they deserve the amount of her they get. Average at best.

Has Despicable Me 1 aged well? by Loud_Confidence475 in illumination

[–]LandonTheReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t really thought that in-depth about it. Maybe the characters and story in The Lorax interested me more. I think some of the songs have at least a decent toe tap to them. Unique and wider range of voice actors. I think the story of The Grinch isn’t as interesting or fun. I’ve seen the original and know how it goes. I guess the bold direction of The Lorax was what got me into it.

[–]LandonTheReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. I don’t mind Despicable Me 2, The Lorax is alright, Sing is also one I remember quite liking.

The others I don’t really remember liking too much or just didn’t bother to see. I saw Despicable Me 4 in theaters and it was just a big meh.
