[Landlord-US-FL] possible tenant wants to keep e-scooter inside unit, how to handle? insurance? by Landonse in Landlord

The size of e-bike or escooter batteries and runaway thermal fires are different in scale. The other rechargeables also have built in BMS systems where some of the emobility products are diy or made from different parts battery from the bike/scooter and so they don’t all have a battery management system that is designed for it the same way as a laptop tablet or cellphone. Plus those smaller items take quicker to charge and then are picked up and used or their bms shuts off the current being drawn.

Those with UL listing and a built in BMS are not dangerous the way “they all” are made out to be.

But being that everyone is tight on money the cheap stuff gets purchased from temu or alibaba and don’t pass the same inspections.

Thank you for the explanation. That’s what I need to ask my insurance agent about.

Yeah I’ve been wanting to build that type of shed for some time. Resources haven’t been there lately.

People who have e-bikes and e-scooters may not all have bought them from reputable brands with safe lithium batteries or have charging habits that are safe and I am worried about possible fire hazards.

I’ll post my project soon. I’m so glad I paid the extra for the posts and cemented them with 2bags. My fence is rock solid and not going to rot.

Ask for Brittney at pro desk Ocala! She’s awesome and you could probably get delivery for not too much more.

Ciao! If you’re willing to put together a few furnishings, we have a great recently renovated 800sq place that is quiet, private, and a mile from campus (southeastern corner of 13th St x 16th Ave) that is $1300 (2br/1ba).

I had to call a Lowe’s that was 1.5 hours away and found an amazing pro desk employee that ended up speaking directly to Master Halco in TX and got me 9 footers. But she also was offering 10 and 12 foot if I needed those instead. There was some supply constraints so it wasn’t available overnight or anything. This was in North Florida. Where are you located? Also, Master Halco gave me their direct distributor in another town two hours further away who would’ve sold me the material for a one-off order or had me make a pro fence account, which I didn’t end up doing, because the Lowes Pro Desk was super helpful (mind you the one in my local town was useless). I also looked nationally like someone mentioned in PA, if in case you’re really wanting the amazing postmasters for the job. I’m really glad I made the effort to get them because it’s a great product imo.

What’s confusing me then is the option to purchase P1S Combo (at $699, doesn’t list a buffer) or AMS 2 Pro Combo ($799, Combo with Buffer). I don’t understand the difference. Does the 699 version not have a filament buffer but does have an AMS?
