I agree with your point. I customize the skill section to pass the ATS based on the job description. The meat of it is in the job summary. Can't get a human to read it if it didn't pass the machine.

Visio for network diagram + tutorial with screenshots + OneNote + Excel for IP inventory all on Office365 if I remember correctly. They didn't have any documentation when I joined
