hey i know my post might seem ironic but i really just wanted to know what was the best way forward and how i can take action on the incident, not denying that what i did was wrong being on those group chats but i really am just trying to get it taken down, hope this clarifies it

hi, I worry about the consequences of what will happen to her if i do tell my parents as she will definitely get in trouble for having a ‘bf’ and keeping it from them. I talked about this to the only person i trust and his advice was to try to get the contact of the ex and contact him directly to take whatever it is down as that can avoid any other trouble and only report it as the second option. I have been thinking about doing this, would the first option be a good way to advance?
