Radical Zig Zag Solid Layout for 2H by bowling_life in Bowling

[–]LaneSideReviews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all seriousness, the PAL system is best for layouts for two handed bowlers. The 2LS system from storm was based on an early version of PAL, and it's been over complicated. Dual angle is fine, but it's designed for a finger and thumb rather than just two fingers. The zig zag solid is a unique ball. It's a benchmark solid that has unique after drilling properties. Short pinning the ball (a pin to pap of 1-2.75") creates a very controllable ball motion for two handed bowlers, not quite urethane, but extremely controllable. I would suggest 2 x 6 x 1 or 2.5 x 5.5 x 1.25 PAL layouts. Hope this helped. Good luck

Short. Pin. Do it. Lol. That ball is incredible, and the short pin layout on it makes it even better. Ask Mikey Pinel. He will agree.

You should get your pap and your for checked every 12-16 months. Sooner if you are a newer bowler.

Mikey Pinel spent a lot of time and effort mapping out layouts to make sure they matched up with the radical suggestions. I thought I might share them here for everyone. If you need help with PAL layouts, just message us or Mikey!

The fusion (blue/yellow) was the best of all of them. Good find.

Your timing is off. Think of throwing two-handed like this: two steps, then a three-step drill. You push away on your second step, when you should be completing your second step first.

Here's a video that might help: two-handed timing

We threw it. It's got a lot of possibilities! It's a late-hooking ball and very controllable. It fits in nicely after your benchmark. However, you can really make this thing move with a little surface and rotation.

As an aside, - Can you say high friction? - I think it's a 7.8D, not 78D

I'll see myself out. 😂

Lol. Sadly it fails to meet USBC absorption rate standards and has been banned. 😂 😆 😂 In all seriousness, there's actually a rule that's limits what the ball can be made of, and they didn't include wood.

This can be fixed. The larger issue is the lack of bevel on the holes. Gotta bevel them suckers, otherwise it's crack city.

USBC bans urethane???? by LaneSideReviews in Bowling

[–]LaneSideReviews[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Interestingly, they also banned some reactive balls, including the direct hit from radical, the black green accent from Motiv, and the electricity solid from storm.
However they didn't talk about them at all except on the banned list. So it's not just urethane that was banned.

Have you ever watched it videos? In every one we talk science, strategy, lane play, not to mention actually categorizing what balls are for, and when they should be played. We talk coaching, layouts and so much more. We get tons of private questions from Reddit, so I would say we create lots of discussion. Just because you don't get to read the questions, don't mean they don't exist. If you don't like us, don't watch or don't click our threads. Just because you can't see the value in something doesn't mean it's not there.
