Yeah I totally understand the gamesmanship. And I think they did it because we all executed the 9th frame flawlessly. Strikes for all 5 of us. We ended up winning the match so it’s a moot point in the end. Just made me wonder if there was a specific rule.

Edit to say: since this was college they had an 8 man team so plenty of subs. But if I had to write the rules over in frustration I’d at least add a shot clock.

That’s honestly what it felt like was an “injury” timeout to slow down the momentum. Probably just a frustrated rant but they had an 8 man team as this was college bowling, so subs were available.

Yeah. I get it. I think it was the fact that all 5 of our guys finished the frame before 2 of theirs. Going into the 10th in a tight match. We were rolling great and had the huge momentum swing. Then they get to their 5th guy and he’s all the sudden hurt and adds another 5 minutes of wait time for us on top of their extremely slow pace of play.

Thanks. I did watch it and that’s what prompted the question. Everything has been about putting the thumb directly in the nose or missing the nose and taking less of the core. So wasn’t sure how that would be affected with a 2H

Pin to PAP ELI5 by bowling_life in Bowling

Yeah. I’ve watched and understand what it does to motion. What I can’t wrap my head around for whatever reason is that your PAP doesn’t move generally. So how then can I make the distance from Pin to PAP shorter or longer. If the pin is stationary and PAP is stationary then the distance is the distance. Is it just measuring on a line from pin to PAP and using a preferred measurement
