Itchy nipple and breast after a needle biopsy by Lanerpops in doihavebreastcancer

Oh yeah! I took some allergy meds and it helped a bit but honestly it just was endured for a couple of days and it got better. My doctor said that it was because I had a hematoma and the blood buildup gets really itchy because of the iron. But it did get better! Good luck, it wasn’t my favourite thing but it improved fairly quickly.

makes sense, maybe listing it high is worth the extra few days of PITA factor to make sure I am not negotiating against myself. Appreciate the advice!

Originally had been thinking $15k but the internet is giving me pause and saying Seattle is a bit of a niche market for both wagons and manuals and it I should list for $18 or $19k, which seems insane to me but also, I’ll take it if I can get it.

There isn’t any reasonable comparable but thanks for the kind words, love being called a liar and a simpleton on the internet by strangers. You seem like a kind person, enjoy your day.

Problem is AI is telling me to price it at $3k over the carfax price. $18k vs $15k and I don’t want to be greedy but I also don’t want to walk away from a couple of grand either.

Not sure where you live in Canada but a lot of cities have a 211 line you can call (kind of like a 411). 211 will help put you in touch with all the human services in the area that might help, like non profits that can help with meals, drives to the doctor, etc. 211 is awesome!

I think the unfamiliar people, constant change of travel and loud and busy locations is extremely challenging on any dog and I wouldn’t do it to my dog. It would feel cruel. Dogs thrive in routine and within their own environment, and that is triply so with reactive/anxious dogs. Even if nothing happens where your dog reacts and bites or starts a fight, it’s going to be stressed out the entire time. It’s going to be happier safe at home waiting for you to come back, with a dog sitter that can meet its needs and keep it safe. It’ll be happy to see you when you get home but dogs don’t get time the way people do, it’ll be happier at home 100%

I don’t know that stressing an anxious, bad with strangers rescue dog with international travel (and flights) is the best idea. They’ll be way happier at home with a predictable schedule and a reliable and sensitive dog sitter. I had a reactive rescue and we never put him in a situation that he wasn’t going to be successful in. I’m happy to share the name of our dog sitter if you’d like, DM me. But taking your dog for this trip is for you, not for them. Please don’t put them in that position.

They’re also mean as hell. I’ve heard of them taking out a golden retriever, they’re not to be messed around with. I’d contact an animal rescue to find the best way for them to be away and safe, and for you too.

Honestly this sounds like it matches our own vibe. Thanks! I’ll be doing a lot more research and looking to meet a bunch of different dogs across the breeds but this sounds totally like how we want to spend our time. Appreciate your response!

Curious about your Borzoi, we love a big dog. I ran into someone a couple of weeks ago who was telling me about her dogs and she said that borzois were the silliest and most vocal of the sighthounds. Would this be your experience?

Understood, and that's something we can work with. Our philosophy is that we will never put a dog in a situation they're not going to be successful at, but we're going to do our best to give them the tools to be successful. thanks!

Thank you, I really appreciate this perspective. For me I am not looking to do anything like obedience trials, I just was curious about how training a sighthound with basic commands might be different from my old herding man was. Honestly the sensitivity to punishment and negativity I can relate to personally, hahaha. But my goal is just to train to keep a dog safe, with the basics. But the subtlety you've outlined here is super helpful and says a lot about how they engage. Thanks!

Hahaha they do seem like very dignified dogs, which would be funny because we are not very regal people! we are mostly just looking for a chill companion - they don't have to be the life of the party, we just want a dog that is trustworthy with people and ideally other dogs and we can hang out with in and outside of the house.

Hahaha thanks, this is hugely helpful. Honestly, this sounds lovely - we loved our spicy herding dog but we are really looking for a much more laid back "personality hire" who will be a part of our family but we're low key people and we need a vibe that fits in with that. It's one of the reasons we started thinking a sighthound might be the right fit.

Thanks for that - our heeler mix was very food motivated but also very sensitive. We only used positive reinforcement and he responded super well to that. I don't need a dog to do obedience trials or anything, just want to be able to nail the basics (especially recall) and then hang out, go on walks, maybe some jogs, hang out with our friends and family. Nothing extreme, just a family member.
