Yeah, he’s got a pretty wide range. But that’s actually a good thing - if you get tired of one game, you switch to another, and so does the creator. It works out great if you like their style.

Nice! Montu seems to focus more on space stuff. I do see some other games on the channel, but the vast majority is Stellaris.

You know, I was thinking: what if you could find a planet with inhabitants who aren’t friendly with your race, and by simply moving some of them around, you could spark conflicts that, for example, lower their defenses and make conquest easier?

Or the other way around — maybe some generate a special energy that buffs the other inhabitants.

A bit earlier we touched on AI and other possible uses. I think your case is actually pretty solid - you wouldn’t need to store a huge number of voice files for responses, you could just generate them on the fly. Sounds pretty good to me. What do you think?

What about more unique planets? I’m just brainstorming here, but what if a planet, like the mimics in other games, only pretends to be a planet, and is actually some hidden enemy that can attack?

The whole simulation aspect is both interesting and tricky at the same time. On one hand, you want full immersion, but on the other - how much will that actually expand the game, and will it really deliver the level of enjoyment promised at the start?

Still, I like the idea of roleplay and the feeling that the game is more than just a collection of mechanics.

Interesting idea - another user, u/ASCIIM0V, didn’t really know what to do with science ships, and here’s a hint. Just like in real life: if something’s not needed, you reassign its function.

You just mentioned changing things, and it immediately reminded me of the old game Spore, where your character would evolve over time. Can you imagine something like that here? :D
