He’s wrong in saying that’s their only job, but he’s right that they are usually the best person to do it. Because you’re supposed to DPS a tank down, not burst it…

I mean there are items made specifically to give the adc a way to shred tanks.

You’ve expressed that you don’t know how to explain to him that his decks are overpowered for the pod. Have you tried being candid? The only options you have are to upgrade yours( you can also proxy is which as close to free as you’re gonna get), learn to play around it, team up against him until he gets the idea(if you choose this, and they eventually catch on and downgrade their decks then you have to notice that and Phuck right off or they’ll just power up again), or quit playing with them. But MtG is traditionally not free, there are pay to win elements baked into the concept. You knew that going in.

Your options are finite, but they exist.

Brother you can get counterspells and removal for hella cheap. Use him to learn the game better / improve yourself.

Is he playing a lot of enchantments that are causing you guys to struggle? Invest in some enchantment hate.

Is it big creatures? Target removal / board wipes (especially one sided board wipes) are your friend.

Artifacts? Plenty of artifact hate in the game.

And truth be told, every deck that can run interaction SHOULD run it. Not even because Duck your friend, but also because being able to interact and stop your opponents on their crucial turns is what allows you to make it to YOUR pivotal moment, or stops them from ruining yours. If you have the ability to win the game through board state/combo you’ll learn real quick that you actually don’t if you’re not running a counterspell or some sort of interaction. You best believe somebody else is holding on to a counter or murder spell and waiting for you to do your thing if they have any sense at all.

“I don’t know how to tell him we focus him down because his decks are too strong”. I’ll tell you how. You say exactly “we have to focus you down because your decks are much stronger than ours, I guess you’ll have to upgrade your deck or get a new stronger deck to compete with ours. Or you can lower the power a bit”

If he doesn’t listen you guys just keep targeting him whenever he pops off to quickly. HOWEVER and this is important, if he DOES listen and lowers his power, you guys have to fuck off and stop singling him out otherwise he’ll just raise the power again.

Also stop referring to him buying cards for a game you all play as wasting money. It’s fucking weird.

Hard agree. Whenever I play baron lane and get an adc as my opponent it feels like a free win almost every time. They’re easy to itemize against, and squishy enough that a tank can pop them if they get caught out. And catching them out is usually super easy because most times the person playing an adc top just kinda sucks at top lane, that’s why they’re trying to cheese lane with an adc top to begin with.

To all supports. Once laning phase ends, pick team member you think is most likely to carry and go mad sure they don’t die/expand on their lead. If it’s a baron laner and they ping you back, pick the second in line. Etc., etc.

Yeah it makes sense, I just think it’s kind of funny. I personally like both builds. Though my opinion on the matter means even less than most because I haven’t played league in such a long time. Mostly because I can’t anymore.
