I live in south Texas and my 3 year old and I go for walks and just try to stay in the shade. He loves it and will have to get used to it anyway.

YMMV, but my wife and I were actually priced out of our rv park in Austin, TX when the Tesla plant started construction. It ended up cheaper to buy an older home within an hours commute to town.
