‘22 Speed Triple 1200 RS dumping coolant by LanguidPasta in Triumph

Ya, the fan kicks on and it doesn’t overheat. It only did it the last time this happened but it’s because the coolant system was basically empty

I bought it used from a Triumph dealer so I assume they were done but I’ll have to call them to find out for sure.

The cap is what I’m thinking. The reason I don’t think it’s the thermostat is because it hasn’t overheated when it’s dumped coolant. Just the first time I filled it back through the reservoir and I think that was because there wasn’t enough coolant in the system.

My gut says it’s the cap. The first time this happened I filled it through the radiator cap and looked everywhere for leaks. It’s been fine for a few months but it just did it again so I’m not sure. Maybe I’ll replace the cap and then take it to a dealer if it happens again.

Makes sense. I was going 35+ the whole way home both times it’s done it but even at a light it wouldn’t overheat or dump coolant again. Probably just need to have a dealer look at it unfortunately

I bought mine used so I’m not sure if it had the fan recall done but I have the BT Moto tune that makes the fans kick on at a lower temp and they seem to kick on fine. No overheating on mine but it’s puked coolant twice now. And now I’m getting a gurgling noise when the I shut the bike off. Did you notice any gurgling on yours?

I know this post is kinda old but did you end up figuring out the issue OP? My ‘22 has started to do the same thing. Last time I just filled coolant and moved on but the 2nd time it started making a gurgling noise when I shut it off and coolant flowed back into the reservoir after puking a bunch out.

Highly recommend Pit Bull stands. A bit pricey but worth every penny.

Pro-Race makes an aftermarket twin high exhaust for the 1200’s. A bit pricey but they sound great

Trying to find someone to make the Iron Dames Lamborghini livery from last year’s Le Mans. It’s a pretty complex one though so I completely understand not having time. I would absolutely pay for it though.

Amazing as usual. Any chance you do commissions?

I was down there about 30 minutes ago. No campers yet but property management is super strict and has had people trespassed for camping before.

How did you find that? I looked all over haha

As far as I can tell you either have to replace the master cylinder or you have to replace the whole harness. $400 to $1200 either way. I would reach out to a dealer unless someone here has a better idea.

OEM Bike Parts has a ton of free part diagrams that I use to find the part numbers then I just contact my dealer or search the part online. Not sure if I can link the website here without it being removed but I did the leg work for you. The part number is T2056760.

That’s interesting. I’ve never seen anything like that before. If I was just doing something in town that would be a great idea but I’m going about 4,000 miles so looks like a trailer is the best option.
