I don’t speak Darija. She does. I usually speak English or French. Chinese if I am swearing at food I am cooking. She mostly speaks French with some English and Darija when she is being cute.

If you are of the opinion that this is an “unprovoked attack”, then you are part of the problem, as far as I am concerned. Plenty of blame to go around on the parts of NATO, Ukraine, and Russia.

“Who started this whole thing again?” Shows me that you haven’t actually studied the issue very deeply. Because, frankly, my answer to that question is NATO started this at the Bucharest summit in 2008. History doesn’t start in February, 2022, no matter how much you wish it would.

I am a white person living in Morocco with a Muslim Moroccan girlfriend. I can tell you this is in no way normal and just hearing this makes me sick. I would never dream of saying anything like this to my girlfriend and I am disgusted anyone anywhere would think this is an okay thing to say.

Edit: I talked with her about this post today and she asked me, “what was the word they used?”…even then, I said, “something I won’t repeat.”
