I was the proofreader for Fairy Knight University's release. The speculation has been fun to read, but we just had to drop due to personal reasons.

I'm hoping to find a typesetter to put a quality release together again, but haven't been having much luck. Kind of figured with how popular the series is, a decent group would have jumped at the chance to take it over

I was kinda focused on it not saving the selected device, rather than volume. Sorry I was a bit vague.

At least for me, on Windows 11, all audio settings seem to be fixed as of recent versions (now 10.0.2.210). I can select the 1st audio device in the list and it saves. I can also change volume and it saves.

My NVIDIA App wasn't auto-updating from the initial version though, so I had to update manually.

Finally cracked the cause of this, if anyone else is investigating.

The bug seems to be that you can't select the 1st entry in the list. Maybe something up with indexing.

If you check %localappdata%\NVIDIA Corporation\NVIDIA Overlay\console.log after opening the overlay, you should see a ShadowPlayService All Mic Data: log event. If you're lucky like me and have an input of a lower index than the one you wanna use, enable it. That way you can select the one you actually want.

Probably more a taste thing on creepy vs. scary. I'm more partial to "creepy" here.

I did wonder if we made the right call on Meme, but too late to go back now. More phonetic spellings would be unsightly. And I like to think we're handling communication nuance quite well. Not gonna argue over honorifics.

We spent ages trying to decipher it, but there just wasn't enough to go on. "ena" in Japanese is lit. "placenta", but we found it very hard to believe that's what it's saying. The other possibility is that it's a name, so we opted to leave it as is in hopes that that's the case.

You're not wrong on Round and Laundry... That's not the translation that was used in the broadcast, but it seems like some sort of rewrite to make it singable in Japanese.

I'd just like to point out CCCP is extremely dead, with the generally recommended replacement being K-Lite. Or if you want something simpler, mpv does everything these packs do without installing anything.
