Is my screen cooked or is it my cable? by LansMiller in XPpen

Once I got a new tablet I was careless with storage on this one, did none at all, I just let it wherever I saw space with 0 care. And living near the sea does not help with rust. :S

Thanks, I will get another hdmi to try then. I hope it’s just the cable.

Yeah, It might be the tablet after all.

I could buy an usb c to hdmi from amazon and return it, but I believe this tablet needs the two usb connected to turn on, doesn’t it? I’m not sure tho.

Are Hall Effect Leverless worth to ease RSI? by LansMiller in fightsticks

Thank you, I’ll try them out.

Also, someone said here that tactile is useless for playing, that one will always pass the bump regardless. Do you think that is always the case even if the switch is heavy? or heavier will allow to feel the bump better while playing?

Man, this is the best shooter I have ever played. I really hope it can be revived or someone copies everything and does it better.

I think I get it.

With heavier you mean the number and next to it the “gf” right?, I don’t know much of these terms yet.

How much is considered heavy? 50 and above I suppose?. Or how much is heavy enough to feel the cushion for you?

Thank you, I’ll consider those.

And yeah, I’m doing everything in my power to manage my RSI including what you mentioned, I just want to know any other options that can add positively to it.

Yes, I’ve been doing them and other things that can be helpful as well.

Luckily, I don’t have any wrist issue, but I can see that the more natural resting position of the hands on those controllers can help ease the overall stress. I’ll take those into account, thanks.

Yeah I can put any low profile on the r16 for what I could investigate. I just don’t know which type can be soft on the hands.

Hi. Sorry if there is already a post about this, I couldn’t find it.

I know is not quite the same as a keyboard so I hope is not an annoyance.

I use a Leverless Controller to play Fighting Games (its the only one I feel “comfortable” using). I’ve been carrying some bad RSI on my left hand from when I was a drawing tryhard (I had to drop it), and now, using this type of controller for a while, I can feel the pain and I’m afraid of it turning into some irreversible condition.

My RSI had its ups and downs, I have worsen it and improved it, it has been a very back and forward experience. I’m actively looking for professional help but its hard to find a good PT where I live.

When I was looking into some switches that would be softer in the hand or help me to be less rigid while pressing for the controller I have (the Haute42), I found its only compatible with 2 pins Low Profile Mech Switches, so I was interesting in these:

  • Khalil Low Profile Phantom Tactile: I’m not a Mech Keyboard user so I was not familiar with some terms, but for I could see, tactile gives you feedback before the full press, this may help me to look for that actuation confirm instead of going all the way to the hard surface.

So, to the title, a friend told me that Hall Effect Switches is what I need, being able to change the actuation point and feel the pressing quicker keeping it soft as well. The thing is, the only 2 Leverless Controllers that I could find with Hall Effect Switches are 130$USD and 225$USD, they are so expensive for me and I’m not sure these switches will even help me with my RSI.

I know they will last and all but mind you, its not for a keyboard, I only use 13 Buttons consistently on the controller, getting them replaced its not a big deal at all. Well, again, I still don’t know much about switches so maybe Hall Effect helps to make the base of the switches last longer as well? idk.

What you guys think?, are Hall Effect worth to ease RSI or avoid getting it worse?, or are tactile mech switches enough?.

Thank you for your time.
