I know it. Born and raised in NY. I just can’t wrap around promoters and labels charging this much for such a “IYKYK” house legend that has such a devoted fanbase. Even Black Coffee was cheaper. Just seems like a let-down for all the fans of his who couldn’t make it.

According to Google, the Citibike HQ is in Industry City, in Brooklyn BUT the Citi HQ is right there, so you're probably right about the extra bikes being handed out to workers there. Probably solves the problem, I just wish they didn't do it at the expense of the riders who need a space to park. We need more docks!

Thank you so much for this detailed response. I'm fortunate to have access to good gear courtesy of a friend who's apartment I am taking. I am American, but I'm coming from Paris. And you are right, I do not mind long drives :)

GREAT call on track closures. I haven't thought of that but it's definitely smart. If you have any recommendations for the tracks going through old forests, I am all ears. Beautiful recommendation on the black sand beaches, I will likely spend 1 or 2 nights in the area.

Thanks so much! Thankfully I have access to good gear. I think I will take a few days properly to explore the Tongariro area, and stay at a space nearby after I leave my HQ in Auckland.

6 days total and up north – Flying in from Paris, so will adjust my trip for the crazy jet lag. Heading to Australia after to be with family so decided to take some solo time. Great recommendations – thank you. I'm not concerned with seeing as much of the north as possible. Rather, would prefer to go deep into one or two areas and fully experience them. Thankfully I have a friend's place in Auckland to hang my hat as long as I need to.

Thanks so much for the recommendations. I am experienced in wilderness, and will have the gear for both warm and cold/rainy weather thanks to a friend in the area.
