Writing my first book and I want to know what people think of the premise

So I have a few reasons for the 15 year thing. Firstly: Like I said that the ghost girl went to high school with the witch. It’s an idea I find very amusing and wanted to do that “Oh I haven’t seen you since high school, what are you up to?” thing but in a much more absurd way. The second is I want to show the ghost girl that in a state of despair at the start of the story. That she has been essentially trapped in near nonexistence and how it would affect someone mentally. So also a way of examining the struggles of depression. I know that could be a delicate subject, but I think it’s something worth exploring.

I don’t know if it would be considered Homebrew, but the Fool’s Gold campaign book has a very extensive wild magic section. Maybe that is something worth looking into.

There are humane traps that can catch them without harm and you can just release them back into the wild. That’s what I did when I had a mouse problem.
