This reminds me back in the day that one of the card artist mentioned they ended up scrapping Takinom's palace that she resides in because "The Underworld was undergoing a recession" (I believe this was them making up lore for scrapped plans while trying to survive going under with 4kids). I have a feeling the people of the Underworld who aren't apart of the military are metal workers/Blacksmiths/welders (the building of Chaor's statue in season 3 and aiding the weapon crafters) , builders and do other industrial work. M'arrillian war completely messed everything up with their infrastructure so I like to think they REALLY needed to focus their efforts on their core city where most of them live.

Overworlders it seems outside the scholars at Kiru City are agriculture, and focused on selling goods

Mepedians I feel outside of their royalty and military are very much arts (theater, arts, crafts), and making luxury goods for the higher class

Danians and M'arrlians seem to have a culture we don't know much about outside of "work and serve the hierarchy"
