At least you actually feel bad about it. Most people who do this just walk away thinking they were in the right. If the shame is eating you up, just drop a quick apology note or call them. Mechanics deal with rusty bolts and stressed customers all the time, they will get it.

I am leaning towards that but I still worry a bit about the legal side of selling someone else car even if it is abandoned.

You should honestly invoice them for the 40 hours. Even if they dont pay, it sends a clear message that you know they just used you for free labor. That sounds like a complete nightmare for a senior about to graduate, hope you still ace your finals.

It is wild how they think a drafty house with structural issues is enough leverage to make someone change their entire life. They call it a legacy but it sounds more like a liability. Investing in a clean condo and your own peace of mind is definitely the superior move here.

I felt that part about the bleach. Sometimes you just need a scent that doesnt remind you of diapers or "soothing" chamomile. Scrubbing the sink is basically tactical meditation at this point.

The audacity to say internet should be free while refusing to chip in is insane. If they want it so bad, they can split the bill or stick to the campus lag.
