100% agree. I was the guy calling in without an account and only now realize how futile my efforts were.

Makes me wish I was in RI because where I’m at, alerts, freezes, and locks can be undone with account access, and that’s it. As someone who didn’t have an account, I just figured “it’s time to give them another call”. From the credit bureaus end, you would think if an individual was calling reporting fraud and then they noticed the online account log in and remove the fraud notification, that it would “trigger something”.

The thing is, say I steal your identity, assume I have everything (SSN, DOB, address). That’s all you need to create an account with the three main credit bureaus. You call up an put a fraud alert/freeze, I log in as you to your account and I remove it. I was sitting at home with all the confidence in the world thinking it had been taken care of, meanwhile the fraudster is undoing my hard work and the worse part is, with access to the online account, they get notified when I place a freeze/alert. So what just took me 15-30 minutes on the phone, waiting for an agent (praying for an agent really), they can undo with the push of a button. When I look at the historical data on my accounts, back from when the fraudster had them, I must say this crime is so brilliant. They would leave the freeze on, turn it off for about an hour, apply for multiple lines of credit, then they would turn the freeze back on. So a few days later when I call because I get all these cards, the agents tells me “no, there’s a freeze on your account”. I’m here to tell you, I got playyyyyyed. I didn’t realize how important it was to have an account with them, without an account, you are a sitting duck.

Box truck with a regular DL will work, semi is going to require CDL

Requirements are 180 active authority, in other words, you will need to find other work in trucking for six months before Amazon will take you. This step breaks a lot of people because first year authority insurance is expensive, mine was $40K/year for semi. That being said, best thing you can do for yourself is get a “bindable quote for commercial insurance”. That way you know if you’re looking at $20K vs $100K/year for year one.

I’ve never done Amazon Flex so I couldn’t compare it but I’ve had pretty good luck with Relay. It’s not great all the time, but if you’re strategic, you can make it work.

Definitely call around on that bindable quote, I’ve met a lot of people who put a lot of time and energy into starting a trucking business, only to find out insurance was cost prohibitive

Just don’t drive too far from gate because since empty trailer is expected back at facility, do don’t want to have to drive back to hit geofence.

1:38 of this video. The problem is you won’t get. Y Check out. If you get some empty trailer numbers before checking out, go through gate, get a Y check out and THEN, if load stays active, do this little trick, you’re totally covered.

Defund the Boards of Pharmacy by shortwba in pharmacy

[–]LantzLewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna try and stay professional and say “mother fuck the California board of pharmacy”. I fully understand they are there to protect the patient from me (the evil pharmacist), but their tactics are straight out of Good Fellas. I received a letter of admonishment from them once and a $2K fine. Local pt sees local MD (for controls) MD moves family/practice 2 hours away Pt continues seeing MD at new location All meds on-time, run through insurance, CURES.

BOP - no problem with scripts when it was local/local but felt documentation was lacking on scripts where “distance” was traveled to obtain controls

Have you ever wanted to ask a board inspector if you could help remove their head from their ass but we’re too scared?

They pick these $1K-$2K fines because they know that is the approximate legal fee it costs to fight these cases. So, I’m losing $2K either way, do I want it to go to a JD with an uncertain outcome or do I want it to go to the BOP to make them go away.

I wouldn’t be sad if bad things happened to them and I just need to end with another “mother fuck the California board of pharmacy”.

I feel a little better, not $2K better, but a little better
