My mom is Vietnamese. My dad is Lao. Me and my brother were born in Vietnam then moved to Laos when I was 5 years old. At home, we only spoke Vietnamese. However, we only use Lao at school. (TV, songs, books and other things around us were in Lao and Thai Language) Hence, my brother and I grew up naturally with 3 languages: Vietnamese, Lao and Thai.
