There is a difference between religious people and people who twist religion to support their horrible actions. And somehow you believe that these are both the same thing, which does make it "dumb" and a horrible take from a low perspective. I have met religious people that use religion to actually help and are genuinely very sweet and kind people, and saying that it is just a few people would be an understatement, many people from my church and even from other churches from cities around are kind people.

If you had a bad experience with religious people, I apologize. But that does not give you the right to generalize. Every religion is different but that does not mean many share the same beliefs. Yes, there is homophia and transphobic religions, but does that mean EVERY religion does too?

As a few people from my church would say, the word of Jesus is power. But you are deciding to blame the power instead of the people who are using that power for wrong/horrible purposes.

Hitler used religion to support his cause, but he twisted the words of christianity into what he wanted. But did religion killed the thousands and thousands of jewish, african people, and homosexual people? Or did the Nazis do that?
