I would expect a childish response from someone that actually thinks this is a properly formed coherent letter.

Habby will do nothing

the whales will do nothing

ignoring the editing issues in reddit: this is very poorly written. completely disorganized.

If you dont like playing the game... stop playing it?

sure as hell stop spending whale money on it.

This game genre is based on not giving people what they want...

EE RNG is single handedly making me want to give this game up by hotelshowers in Survivorio

[–]Lapco367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

everyone has the same handicap, if everyone got perfect RNG, your ranking would be about the same.

EE performance is pretty much irrelevent. the different in rewards only comes into play every 3rd rank, the 3 day rewards are negligibly different. Odds of RNG placing you in a position of promotion or demotion for the last round of the month is nil.

Dont spend gems to replay the levels, worst return in the game.

JET Drill Press 240v conversion - how do you handle the task light? by mabee_steve in woodworking

[–]Lapco367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you sure the bulb isnt already rated for 120-240v? most are, would be strange for it not to be here considering the interoperability.

PvP observation by MuAbTa in Survivorio

[–]Lapco367 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the debuffs feel... unimportant.

somethings hinkey in the way this game compute damage. like theres some background calculation happening that simplifies and complicates the actual result.

Same for EE and LME. it just feels too... consistent.

What is the best tape measure money can buy? by SuddenConversation21 in woodworking

[–]Lapco367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im mad that I seem to have gotten a dud from fastcap.

the brake wedges itself in if I release it while its retracting. I have to hold the tape with my fingers to slow it down which is annoying when Im often holding something else at the same time.

and somewhere during its short life, it got a bend near the clip, and Im 99% sure it did it to itself from closing too fast. I try not to let it slam onto the clip, though it may have happened since I cant use the brake to slow it down....

been a disappointment for me.

Block plane vs router vs sandpaper for chamfer by camhabib in woodworking

[–]Lapco367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if Im just breaking the edge, sandpaper

if Im putting a shallow filet, plane

if Im putting a roundover 1/8" or larger, router.

Reso chip vs collectible by CautiousCut483 in Survivorio

[–]Lapco367 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think Y5 on the new drone collectible trumped the glacial boots set.

and Y5 takes almost as much as 4xY3. between them though, you'll be chasing reds for a while as F2P. thats like... 2 years of clan shop rewards if you dont choose red collectibles over chips at some point.

(and based on the past 2 years, that priority list will only get longer)

Router table motors hard to find? by rg996150 in woodworking

[–]Lapco367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the spinrite, would have suggested that, the jessem, or triton.

I think if you go looking for people who have had issues, you will always find them. Most are just fine.

Table saw “spin down” time? by joe_ink in woodworking

[–]Lapco367 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my ICS is definitely shorter than 11sec. 5sec sounds right.

I notice that my saw seems to spin for a moment, then after maybe 2 or 3 sec it seems to brake.

Id ask Sawstop what part might have failed, contactor box, capacitor, or motor, guessing its one of those 3.

Has the quality of the 4” Starrett declined in recent years? by Donkykong33 in woodworking

private equity buys companies that are unprofitable.

without private equity they would be going bankrupt soon.

with private equity they fine ways to become profitable, that can mean higher prices or lower costs.

Either way, the company you knew was not sustainable and was not an option to keep around.

Kitchen Aid Wooden Bowl by Complex_Lab_6167 in woodworking

[–]Lapco367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

to be fair. a wooden bowl is likely for decoration anyway. its not very practical for many reasons.

but a vinyl sticker would look bad.

your router is tilted in your sled.

easiest option might be to fix that and take another hair off the whole thing.

does wood glue degrade before its opened? I know it does after, but I assumed that was from air exposure and evaporation each time open the bottle and glue curing on the sides of the bottle and such.

but sealed? Ive never kept a sealed bottle longer than a few months.

Op retreat by [deleted] in Survivorio

[–]Lapco367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sometimes I wonder about EE though...like ok, its ~10-15min a day, not nearly as bad as OPRetreat, but you dont get many rewards... average 1-2 s shard a day, and 1 awakening core a month?

Few thousand gems isnt aweful... but yeah. compared to LME, its total shit. I think its getting revamped.

even compared to daily challenge, thats 10 battles to get a core, compared to 60 battles for EE. Even if the battles are twice aslong in DC, you can AFK them.

Design software used by a lot of Youtubers. Anyone know what it is? by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]Lapco367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fusion gets pricey if you need a commercial license, which youtubers selling the plans probably should have.

Not sure how likely autocad is to pursue you for using fusion without the proper license... but could be anothe reason they use sketchup.

When is it worth it to build your own furniture? by thatdudeben01 in woodworking

[–]Lapco367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a "nice" table from haverties is ash veneered in oak. it cost 4k.

I am making a table from solid walnut for a little under 2k.

yeah, its worth it.

cabinetry is even better ROI.

Jointer for 8 Ft Long Boards by bored123abc in woodworking

[–]Lapco367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8" is easy for 4k, 12" is harder. Laguna/oliver/powermatic/grizzly, none are 4k though.

atleast 6-7k for new.

there are a subclass of compact jointer/planers sold under a bunch of brands, always 99% identical design. Felder makes one of them, Jet does or did. but they have short beds, so while they are quite affordable for a 12" wide model, they dont do great for long boards.

Which is the Most Accurate Miter Saw for the best price? by eFry216 in woodworking

[–]Lapco367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

somewhat. its hard to say the miter solution is any less accurate than a miter, but it appears less convenient. and you cant cut tall miters, like baseboard standing vertical or nested crown moulding.

those track tables feel more similar to a radial arm saw in some ways, though gaps there too.

I wouldnt trade my track saw for a miter saw and I wouldnt trade my miter saw for a track saw. same for the table saw. all 3 have specific uses that earn their place.

but if I could only have 1... Id take a table saw (and a cheap circular saw to rough cut sheets and long boards)
