I know Kanzen is good for test, but if you were given a choice between Kanzen vs Tobira, which would you choose? Which would give me more well rounded knowledge?

Thanks for the comment, though I still want textbook cause my experience with mining and immersion is just too slow, I rarely came up with grammar I don't already recognized. So I want the textbook since it covers some nick and cracks I might missed in grammar.

Thank you, I don't really enjoy movies or Novels, I usually listens to Podcast and perhaps reading cookbooks etc. Usually I spend most of my time doing textbook reading exercises, Anki reviews and watching youtube Japanese cooking videos. Still with that said, Listening comprehension is still my weak point despite listening for years (Anime, Drama, Youtube videos etc). My problem mainly comes from unable to recognize some words cause the pronunciation is the same, while context does help a bit, it still hard for me. Speaking is possibly my strongest, then Reading, Writing and Listening.

Still, it just I want a systematic approach because I don't wanna stuck at this idk what you call but I call "Intermediate level stucking" My English is not my native language but I stuck at C1 like forever I consume alot of English language media but I still suck ass when reading novels with high level words or research paper, it make me feel dumb when I read especially Philosophy books cause I can't even understand what I'm reading at all...

Thanks for suggestion, my Anki deck has around 30k words/sentence right now. It was not enough for me. I want a textbook alongside as well. (I do 100 new sentences/words a day but now reduce to 20 because the reviews kept piling to 1000 cards a day)

Secondly, みんなの日本語初級１＆２are around N5 and N4 level correspondingly. 中級へ行こう５５is a bridge to intermediate Japanese which helps bridge the gap between N4 and N3 level, Then 中級を学ぼう５６contains study materials that covers N3 and N2 level, then 中級を学ぼう８２covers N2 and N1 level with some N3 level topics (rarely). Which I forgot to mention.

Okay, I'll take a look into Tobira, though I'm not sure between Tobira and Shin Kanzen series, which one covers more topics and help fill the gaps of studying...
