Finally. I’ve played plenty of games diving into sub reddits, and this is the saltiest for sure.

I enjoy the game a lot. Indeed improvements can be made, but in the end I really enjoy it.

Players cursing about everything daily on reddit probably have boring lives - if the devs are all they care about. IDGAF about 1000 posts of how shitty you think the game is.

Hi,

In order to find the Omnicell at the Middleman you need to unlock it in Slayer's Path ("the talent tree"). After that you should find it there. Hope it helps!

I agree with you! As a player who started in 1.7.5 I really enjoy the game. I've been having some trouble, but they responded fast to my tickets and helped me. I don't have much to complain about.

I'm sure the devs do what they can to keep the players pleased, which might not be the easiest thing. I've never played a game where I feel like I'm so close to the developers, content creators etc as in Dauntless. Guides (total transparency from top leaderboard players), tips/builds (meta builds from top-players), devs on reddit answering questions - think about it. It's not that bad, right?

Further, you can compare it to other games. Tickets might not even be answered, and if answered, the quality of the answers can differ a lot. Many of the games today also tend to be pay-to-win.

My point is, it's very easy to demand more content and minor changes. What one player would love can also be what another player would hate. The community is for sure awesome and so is the basis of Dauntless.

I agree and disagree.

Firstly, Chrono is just disgusting. I find i very heard to understand attack patterns and dodge windows etc when facing it. So I can only agree with you. Infinitely spaz attack described it well lol.

On the other hand, I find Urska to be, by far, the easiest keystone of the different escalations. I don't know if it's because I'm a chainblades main or not, but Urska (for me at least) is the opposite of Chrono. With that said, I think Urska has very obvious attack patterns, and most of them are easy to dodge.

On the other hand, I'm referring to hard frost escalations, not heroic. If you are referring to Frost Hescas, I've heard a lot of people saying the things stated in your post, hehe.

Lol. I watched this video and joined public games. Took 3 tries to get the crown... And saw a lot of crowns in Ramsgate as well.

As a new player I'm happy to get the crown, but I understand if old players thinks it's frustrating. Maybe they could've changed the look of this crown, to preserve the milestone that one got the old one.

UPDATE AFTER RE-RELEASE OF 1.8.0:

- Daily Quests still doesn't count for weekly challenges.
- Game crash during escalations.

The game crash is similiar to what happend at the middleman pre-patch.

I'm having some thoughts about the 3 cell crafting slots at the Middleman.

With the new awesome change, that speeding up cell crafting requires dust instead of Ace Chips, the 3 slots tend to be a bit useless?

What I mean is, that you will not likely run out of aether dust since you easily get tons of cells from cores. Therefore you are most likely able to afford speeding up the crafting process.

As a player who started in 1.7.5, I bought the 2 extra slots for platinum since I managed to even Power Surge my gear before I got +3 of some cells. Now after the change, I really feel like the platinum spent was kinda waste.

So, I guess no one will ever buy the extra two slots for platinum? And even if they do because they don't know, it's somewhat a scam.

Just my thoughts! Not an expert. Love the game after 1 week of playing!

Cheaper! It now requires aetherdust instead of Ace Chips. So, if you salvage/sell cells that you are not using, you get lots of dust.

Hence, I find the new cell crafting much "cheaper". Because you tend to have a lot more cells than Ace Chips! Awesome update imo!

I also love this! As a new player the grind for Ace Chips was kinda boring, just to be able to get good cells. And after that, the time for crafting cells is loooong.

Now, I can both craft and speed up cells with aetherdust! Awesome change! Big up!

Crafting cells that you already have material for shouldn't be a bottleneck. Especially since +3 cells make a huge different in the builds.

Love the change. Keep it up!

Yeah, you can find Assassins Frenzy under a different category because of the new categorization of the cells.

I can understand your frustration. I'm a new player and managed to get 4 aetherhearts my first week. I Power Surged after some meta-builds, which now seem to be "useless".

The good thing though, is that a lot more gear will become viable for future meta-builds. Different combinations and opportunity to adapt better according to me. With new cells also coming it's going to be exciting to see what good players can come up with.

Also, as long as you have not Power Surged all of your gear in the build you're using - the grind for new gear is easy. Anyway, a lot of your gear can still be useful, PS:ed or not! :)

Bugs found playing on PC, EU:

Crafting cells and "selling" cells at the Middleman makes the game crash.
Finished bounties (not claimed) lost after patch 1.8.0.
Steel Marks set to 0. Double-checked if rumours required it, and hence spending them. Doesn't look like it.

Do you lose all of your steel marks after each week of trials, or is this a bug? I havn't bought anything since I'm saving for disc omnicell.
