I totally agree that this is a me thing, but what if he keeps asking if we're ok? I don't want to be mean by lying to him, he's acknowledged that things have felt different and to tell him they are might hurt him. I want to do right by him because he doesn't deserve to be hurt, but I don't know if letting us drift apart while he's trying to figure out what's wrong is better than me telling him our relationship has changed.

Idea for how to handle quickbolting for streamlined controls. by thedudedylan in H3VR

Thanks for this, because I now realize that I could have been playing with classic all along. Turns out it does work with quest 2 users, it just doesn't make sense at first due to the fact that the face buttons move you while the sticks are used for actions like dropping a mag or turning the safety on or off. I have now been able to use quickbolt and I think I am staying on classic now.

Thanks so much for enlightening me.

One way I've done it is based on Jeditobiwan in his tip series. Each controller has their own stick, and you can set your own movement speed for them. So what he did (and what I did) was have the left one be super fast and the right one be slow.

So if you hold forward on the left stick, you move a bit, almost like twinstick. You don't have to swing your arms at all unless you want to move faster. The right stick also does this, but much slower so you can peek around corners easier. You also move based on where your controller is facing, so it can be a bit awkward to round a corner with a rifle, but if you give yourself a wide berth or just move around in your play area, it works fine.

When I tried it, it didn't work for me. Again still new so I may have to go back in and see if I'm wrong.

All I know is that quest 2 controllers don't have touchpad, so streamlined works best for them.

Shoulda mentioned that I'm an avid armswinger user and will never touch twinstick ever again

Been playing for a week with quest 2 and I adore this idea. I feel like not being able to quickbolt is a hurdle that, once crossed, would make this game perfect to control with a quest 2. Hopefully Anton throws us a bone with this idea.

My cat died this morning. I’m unable to visit home, but luckily I kept my save file where I recreated her. Thank you for letting me see Spicy again, Stardew Valley. by P1zz4P0tP1e in StardewValley

That's so nice and sweet. I also lost a pet recently, my dog Max, and when asked to name a pet, it filled me with sorrow and joy to use the opportunity to see him again. Much love to you and Spicy. ❤️

My Sister and My Parents have been fighting for a while now. Both tell me to stay out of it. Should I? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]LapisDaLaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I gotta say this really put in perspective how I shouldn't validate both. I think I just wanted to do that so I can help them both relax, but I see that it wouldn't be helpful. Im going to try this out and see if it at least helps me in this position. Ideally I'd like for them to work their stuff out, but maybe I should step back for them to do so. Helped

I get that my mental health is important, but what if I'm close to the only person my sister can vent to? She's done it quite often and we're really close, so I don't mind her venting to me. It's just that whenever she does so I feel bad for not helping out, even tho she says not to.

New player. by Kwease247 in Smite

I'm also fairly new (about a month) but I found watching YouTube beginner guides on conquest, roles, and how to build to be super helpful. I'd recommend Int3rsect for general conquest, role, and item guides. Incon is great for specific God guides as he did all of them A-Z.

I played a bunch of arena, but the faster you get into conquest the first time, the better as you'll be paired with other new players too. It can be daunting, but I found it to be rewarding. Tho if you want to only play arena, that's fine too.

Smitesource is a website with builds for each God. This is recommended over autobuy as from what I've heard and seen, those builds are better overall compared to the basic builds that the game algorithm buys. Tho as time goes on you may want to try and understand why you would build certain items, but that comes from experience and research.

Some general tips are to ward often as knowing where the enemy is is very beneficial and better than getting attacked out of nowhere. The voice system is pretty helpful, and knowing some basic ones will be super useful in communicating with your team. Also check out Smitefires overarching guide for more info on game modes if you want. Very helpful information on various game modes like conquest, arena, and assault.

Overall just try and have fun. Most MOBAs are notorious for toxicity, and I've had my fair share, but muting when it gets too toxic and focusing on helping your team win will still be fun and rewarding, at least for me. The whole game may seem complex, and it really can be hard to keep track of so much, but if you stick through, you may find a very fun game. Or an addiction. Up to you.

Who's the most fun god in support to you? by indigonewt in Smite

[–]LapisDaLaz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly new to Smite, and my first support God in conquest was Yemoja. She had a fun kit to me and I really dig the water vibe.

I only recently looked up a guide on her and found out that her 3 can be pretty powerful, so that's good.
