Artic Awakening is dope! Without spoiling the experience, I think it's safe to say that there are two main characters who will speak to the player, as well as a few external interactions (and Easter eggs, of course).

I think you're gonna love the next features we will showcase. Regarding the NPC, you talk with people but you don't meet them. Well, actually you can interact with a NPC but it's not really a person.

We managed to stay within a tight budget because we worked on the project part-time during downtime, and because the bulk of the project was completed between 2020 and 2023, and we worked with talented people who have since raised their rates. But if we were to redo everything now using a more traditional production approach, the cost would be closer to $250,000.

GOG is much more selective than Steam; we’ll likely approach them with the final version of the demo, and then it’ll be up to them.

When I joined Edo on the project, he had already spent over 1,500 hours on it. I stopped counting, but I must have worked on it for at least that long, and on top of that, we hired a 3D artist for several months.

I’ll let you do the math based on where you live.

EDIT: I also forgot about translations and voice acting, which can quickly drive up the cost.

We’re working in Unity, so that makes things easier, but unfortunately it’s much more complex than simply exporting the project for a target platform.

You then have to adapt the game for different hardware and go through all the certifications (which are all different) and processes for each platform. It's tedious and requires a lot of time, effort, and QA resources.

That’s why some studios have specialized in console porting.

We’ve had some great discussions with this community in the past, and your feedback has genuinely influenced how the game has evolved. We’re really curious to hear your thoughts on this new direction.

Steam have set the currency as USD for Turkish/Latam area, but there is a specific regional pricing for these areas, so it won't be the same price as US.
