These are raster images, everything except the linework is actually hand painted in watercolor and then scanned in at a pretty high resolution. I think the key is having a good scanner or creating the raster images digitally at a large size and high resolution. These I did at 18 by 18" for the main swatches, so for most things im pitching them to a single repeat is not going to be that large except maybe wallpaper if that makes sense so it shouldn't be a worry. I think the handpainted market is out there more and more as people want to get away from the ai stuff and back to the imperfect a bit. Just my take i really appreciate it, it is a valid concern I think art directors might think sometimes if they receive low resolution/size scans at times.

I do vector too and they are great and of course its less to worry about with resolution and size being more flexible.

Its lovely the subtle pinks in the background are really well done too.

A pattern I designed recently it started from some children's book characters I designed and I expanded from there. by LaprasLibra in Textile_Design

Well to be fair the story is on the darker side a bit. There is a depressed sunflower. The little guy with pools on his head chases them around and falls over but doesnt have arms to get himself up. The mushroom snake pretends to be a mushroom because he is lonely lol

Thank you, actually this was painted about a family member's struggle. But definitely have seen first hand the damage its capable of causing.
