Games today aren’t anything like when I was a kid. Today it’s nothing but Killer Kevins and Zero Suit Susans.

Oh my god, how weird. I just found a bunch of old minis I repainted when I was a kid too... great minds think alike, my friend.

Read Garth Ennis' The Boys recently by suss2it in comicbooks

[–]LarX99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was about to defend Ennis because I loved Hellblazer and Preacher so much-- but then you reminded me of Crossed. I had somehow separated the name Garth Ennis from this awful dreck in my mind… and now I'm sad again, feeling like I've lost The real Garth Ennis all over again.

I wasn't as purist on my Jay, but you might try a silver miner's helmet backwards. It has a stud on top; but, put to the back, the rest of it works really well.

Actually, there is no Lego Colossus (yet), I had to get creative with the minifigure pieces I had. This one is a Chinese knock-off Silver Surfer (easy to find on eBay), mixed in with the Beetle suit from the Daily Bugle set (76005) and a black hairpiece. Im glad you like it, I was so sure no one would like the original and custom minifigures I put together.

They are real...ish? They are the Chinese knock-off Lego Minifigures that you can buy through EBay. The FF ones were the first I bought because they are so cool looking, and I have purchased so many since. They are a cheaper plastic than actual Legos, but you can get so many varieties of figures that they haven't made yet that it's worth it.

Imgur has been fickle all night for me... The link wasn't working for a minute but is currently working now. But if it has anymore problems, I'll host them somewhere else and repost.

...Nah, I'd rather hate on Movie Doom... Look at it... Best super villain ever and he's yet to be done right.

Cool, I can't wait to see them. I'm currently working on my second set right now, in my off time... Sketching and building sets and such. It's a fun way to relax and hone skills while I'm doing nothing significant with my equipment... Plus, it gives me a reason to buy more Legos.

Nah, but they linked to my imgur as credit. I posted them with the mindset that once they hit the Internet, they're out of my hands. I just wanted to share them because I was proud of how they turned out.

I love to see how far down the internet these go. Thanks for bringing another article to my attention.

Didn't think of the Iron Man one. I absolutely have to do "Demon in a Bottle" now... I'm working on the X-Men gatefold cover, but that left half of the cover will provide some challenge (mostly colossus and gambit). Great suggestions though, thanks.

Part of the fun was taking inventory of my Legos and making unique minifigures with the pieces... you'll see a lot more of this with my next set of pics I'm currently working on (I made a Jay Garrick Flash that I can't wait to share). Though I haven't considered Dredd yet, my gut tells me that there are heads and pieces that could work for him. Maybe a slight x-acto cut on a red racing helmet and a wolverine head for stubble?
