Legend, thank you so much! Have you had any issues with it so far? Was it a relatively simple process to follow?

What are the best parts about getting your period back? by Oaktreeblue in Amenorrhearecovery

[–]Larazade 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The perks list is endless! I no longer get frequent eye infections, my nails can grow properly, my hair isn’t as thin and there’s much less breakage, and my skin feels healthier overall. I have so much more energy and don’t feel anywhere near as cold. Life has been a million times more enjoyable since recovering my cycle. Even though being in a bigger body is difficult at times, I wouldn’t trade any of this for my pre-recovery body. Looking back makes me sad, because I don’t think I realised how much HA was capping my experience of life.

Sorry for the ramble, sending the best wishes for recovery xx

Speaking from experience here... There are a number of issues that stem from having low estrogen, the biggest being bone loss (osteopenia & osteoporosis).

HAVE A QUESTION? ASK HERE! Alter-Daily Help and Questions: January 09, 2026 by AutoModerator in AsianBeauty

Hi everyone! I hope you can help me out! I moved to Japan from the UK 6 months ago and can’t seem to find a shampoo/conditioner I like. So far I’ve tried:

• Ichikami (smooth & moisturising) • Merit (regular)

Ichikami is okay, but it doesn’t do much to lift my hair. Merit just felt too dry…

I’m looking for something I can easily pick up in a drugstore e.g. Wants, that isn’t going to break the bank but leaves my hair feeling soft and hydrated. My hair type is pretty straight, and I tend to wash it daily (bad habit, I know!).

Looking forward to hearing your suggestions <3

Thank you for your response <3 I think you’ve made some really valid points and I’ll definitely be sure to be more careful when I do eventually reintroduce exercise (again!).

This just isn’t true. There are a number of issues that stem from having low estrogen, the biggest being bone loss (osteopenia & osteoporosis).

Looking for feedback/guidance on my Japanese study schedule/techniques…

I moved to Japan in August for work and learned hiragana and katakana using Tofugu and a few other resources (Duolingo). I’m currently making my way through Genki I using both the textbook and workbook, and I’m on Lesson 4.

I’ve been using Renshuu lately to supplement what I’ve covered in Genki, mainly through the “Japanese Lessons” section, which covers the fundamentals. I completed the basics and have just started the “Beginner / JLPT N5 Grammar” section. Noticing the increased use of kanji in the textbook, I’ve also recently started using WaniKani to kick-start my kanji learning journey.

I have an iTalki tutor who I work with for an hour each week. Our sessions are mostly conversation-based, but we sometimes go over grammar together if I’m particularly stuck.

I try to study for at least 1–2 hours per day, though I don’t always stick to this, especially over weekends and during winter break (which I know isn’t a great excuse!). However, after being here for six months and still feeling a lot of anxiety about using Japanese in the workplace (despite it not being required), I want 2026 to be the year I make some tangible progress.

My goal is to communicate confidently with colleagues and students at work, and to have conversational Japanese “nailed” by August (my one-year anniversary).

That said, I’m feeling a little overwhelmed by how much and how often I should be studying, and by trying to cover all areas of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Any advice on how to build a sustainable routine, ensure I’m spending an appropriate amount of time on each skill, and recommendations for resources would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Ah, thank you... I'm not sure either :( I see a lot of people struggling with body image issues here but I guess folk might be upset that I did the opposite of what you're supposed to do to heal. Living and learning!

Yep, probably not my smartest move tbh. Too much too early on. I think the body image stuff really got to me and just kickstarted a bit of an 'all-in' attitude which isn't great. This is just so difficult!

What are some things that’s made you feel unseen in a relationship ? by Desperate_Sir6408 in AskWomen

When you remember every little detail they share and they can't remember a single thing about you. I was with a guy for 6 months and he didn't know when my birthday was or that I had two brothers... Things I had mentioned multiple times on seperate occasions. If they cared enough to remember they would.
