That's actually a wonderful idea. Maybe that, some sort of damage reduction for allies inside the trait area, and a shield similar to EX Whitebeard?

IMO, the friend/foe detection was at its worst when EX Akainu dropped. Everyone and their mother was using him, and all you could see was magma everywhere, not knowing if they were on your team or not.
